Stanley Pierre du Preez (born 1 January 1969) is a South African former first-class cricketer.
du Preez was born at Port Elizabeth in January 1969. He later studied in England as a Rhodes Scholar at Magdalen College,Oxford. [1] While studying at Oxford,he played first-class cricket for Oxford University in 1996,making ten appearances. [2] Playing as a left-arm medium-fast bowler,he took 5 wickets from 168 overs at the high average of 126.80,with best figures of 2 for 44. [3] du Preez had the honour of taking the first wicket to fall in the 1996 English cricket season. [4] In addition to playing cricket for Oxford,du Preez also represented the university in rugby union. [5]

In April 2022,du Preez announced her retirement from Test and ODI cricket,allowing her to focus on the shorter format of the game and spend more time with her family. In December 2022,she further announced her retirement from T20Is,but confirmed her continued availability for domestic T20 leagues.
Christ Church Ground is a cricket ground in Oxford,England. The ground is owned by Christ Church,a constituent college of the University of Oxford. Privately owned,it was the preferred venue in Oxford for matches where a gated admission was to be levied on spectators,typically in matches between Oxford University and a touring international team.
