Piet van der Kuil (born 10 February 1933 in Velsen) is a former Dutch footballer and the owner of a football school in Velsen. He was part of the Dutch squad at the 1952 Summer Olympics. [1]

The new club was named Telstar, after the then recently launched communications satellite.

Football Club Groningen is a Dutch professional association football club based in the city of Groningen, province of Groningen. Founded on 16 June 1971 as the successor of GVAV, the team will compete in the Eerste Divisie, the second tier of Dutch football, following relegation from the 2022–23 Eredivisie. Hülya Kat is a Dutch politician, serving as a member of the House of Representatives on behalf of the social liberal party Democrats 66 (D66). She was a member of the Velsen municipal council between 2010 and 2018, when she was elected to the Amsterdam council. Kat won a seat in the House in the 2021 general election.
