Pioneer Career and Technology Center [1] is a public vocational school in Shelby, Ohio. It is Ohio's 5th largest vocational school. It serves the area around the counties of Richland and Crawford. Its classes are open to juniors and seniors in local high schools.
Students from partner schools around the area are allowed to come to PCTC starting their Junior year of high school as long as they reach the curriculum requirements to enter after completion of their Sophomore year in which they will review your past grades of your past two years of high schooling. Once entered, students have the choice of choosing a lab which they will be in for around two and a half hours daily. These labs have certain requirements to gain grades depending upon the nature of the lab and also feature certain attire based upon the job skills which students will be learning.
Such labs consist of a wide variety of job choices which range from Agricultural related areas to fields related to Transportation. [2] The range of lab choices will help students after graduating have the ability to enter the workforce immediately with the acquired skills which they have learned. Since skills are learned, lab instructors require students to treat the class as a working environment as students will depending upon their lab do work for clients and customers.
Enrollment is open to students from any of PCTC's fourteen partner schools. [3]
An internship is a period of work experience offered by an organization for a limited period of time. Once confined to medical graduates, internship is used practice for a wide range of placements in businesses, non-profit organizations and government agencies. They are typically undertaken by students and graduates looking to gain relevant skills and experience in a particular field. Employers benefit from these placements because they often recruit employees from their best interns, who have known capabilities, thus saving time and money in the long run. Internships are usually arranged by third-party organizations that recruit interns on behalf of industry groups. Rules vary from country to country about when interns should be regarded as employees. The system can be open to exploitation by unscrupulous employers.

It is part of the Kentucky Community and Technical College System and the largest college in that system. JCTC was formed on July 1, 2005 by the consolidation of Jefferson Community College and Jefferson Technical College. The Ohio Hi-Point Career Center is a career–technical school that provides career–technical training to high school students and adults in west-central Ohio. Founded in 1974, Ohio Hi-Point (OHP) Career Center in Bellefontaine, Ohio, is a two-year career-technical school district serving 11th and 12th grade students in 14 partner school districts covering five counties, which comprises the career-technical planning district (CTPD). Students may also opt to remain at their partner school and specialize in one of Ohio High-Point’s fifty-two satellite programs. Career-technical programs offered at OHP are in the career fields of agriculture and animal science, arts and communication, business, engineering and manufacturing, health sciences, human and public service and transportation. Biotechnology High School (BTHS), or commonly referred to as Biotech, is a four-year comprehensive vocational public high school serving students in ninth through twelfth grades in Freehold Township, Monmouth County, United States, as part of the Monmouth County Vocational School District (MCVSD). Its curriculum includes a science program, consisting of eight different science classes spread over four years, designed to prepare students to pursue further education in biotechnology and the natural sciences. Emphasis is placed on research, laboratory skills, critical thinking, problem solving, technology, and teamwork. Over 90% of the 2009 graduates selected college majors in the life sciences. The school has been accredited by the Middle States Association of Colleges and Schools Commission on Elementary and Secondary Schools since 2005.
The Union County Academy for Information Technology (UC-AIT) is a full-time four-year public high school located in Scotch Plains, New Jersey, United States, on the Union County Vocational Technical Schools Campus. Jane Addams Business Careers Center often referred to as J.A.B.C.C. is one of six Career and Technical speciality schools within Cleveland Metropolitan School District (CMSD). It is known throughout the city for its exceptional student-operated restaurant, The Executive Grill. Visitors from throughout the city rave about the entrees and desserts, with their creme brulee being a proclaimed "the best in the city". Students apply and must be selected to attend Jane Addams. The school is named after Jane Addams, the first American Woman to win the Nobel Peace Prize (1931).

The Adult Education Center has become a regional campus that partners with area businesses to provide lifelong, continuous training programs in computer, health, industrial and public safety fields.
