Piotr PawełMorta (born 19 June 1959 in Wieluń) is a Polish political activist,dissident,economist,co-inventor, [1] activist in underground "Solidarity",Krajowy Mistrz Racjonalizacji 1983 (Polish master of rationalization in 1983),and vice-chairman of European Works Council Pfleiderer AG.
He is an alumnus of the PoznańUniversity of Economics and Business (then:Academy of Economics in Poznań). He studied management and marketing there.
In 1989 he created the Solidarity Citizens' Committee in Wieruszów. [2] He was a member of City Council Board of Managers in years 1990-1994. He was also councillor of Gmina Wieruszów at the same time. Councillor of Wieruszów County over the period 1998-2002,2002-2006,2006–2010 and 2010-2014. [3]
In years 1998-2014 he was a chairman of the National Secretariat of Construction and Wood Workers of Independent Self-governing Labour Union "Solidarity". He has served as a chairman of the National Secretariat of Construction,Wood Workers and Environmental Protection of Independent Self-governing Labour Union "Solidarity"-80 since 2014. As a result of his efforts,"Solidarity"-80 became a member of the European Federation of Building and Woodworkers (EFBWW) on 1 July 2018. [4] [5] Moreover,he was vice-chairman of European Works Council Pfleiderer AG from 2007 to 2014. [6] Since March 28,2017,he has been a member of The Council for the Protection of Struggle and Martyrdom Sites at the Wrocław branch of the Institute of National Remembrance. [7] [8] [9] [10]
Co-author of the publication "Szanse i zagrożenia rozwoju Zakładów Płyt Wiórowych Prospan S.A. będące wynikiem prywatyzacji" (Opportunities and threats to the Development of Particleboard Manufacturing Plant Prospan S.A. resulting from privatization),which was published by PoznańUniversity of Economics and Business,Poznań 1997. Piotr Morta is a co-inventor of chain link - this invention was patented by the Polish Patent Office. [30] He received a certificate from the Institute of National Remembrance - Commission for the Prosecution of Crimes against the Polish Nation. According to the certificate he is a victim in the meaning of the Act on the Institute of National Remembrance. In 2017 he was awarded the title of "Meritorious for Wieruszów County". [31] [32] [33] [34] On September 21,2022,during the Solidarity-80 Delegates' Convention,he was awarded the Medal of Merit for Community Accords for his outstanding contributions to the democratic transition in Poland. Piotr Morta is married to Maria Jolanta,who is a teacher. [37] Together they have three daughters:Natalia,Martyna,and Julia. [38]

Father Henryk Jankowski was a Polish Roman Catholic priest,member of Solidarity movement and one of the priests supporting that movement in opposition to the communist government in the 1980s. He was also a long serving provost of St. Bridget's church in Gdańsk. In the late 1990s he became known for his critique of the European Union and for anti-Semitic remarks,and was suspended from preaching for a year. Father Jankowski was accused of being a pedophile and child rapist but was never convicted. The issue is still being investigated,remains a matter of discussion and an object of press's interest.
Fighting Solidarity was a Polish anti-Soviet and anti-communist organization. It was founded in June 1982 by Kornel Morawiecki in the Polish city of Wrocław. Its creation was in response to the de-legalization of the Solidarity movement and associated communist government repression of the opposition symbolized by the imposition of martial law in 1981. Many consider this faction as one of the most radical and uncompromising splinters of the wider Solidarity movement.
Robotnik was the name of an underground newspaper (bibuła) published by the democratic socialist wing of the Solidarity resistance movement in the People's Republic of Poland during the period of martial law in Poland,between the years 1983 and 1990. It was named after the Polish Socialist Party pre-war periodical of the same name.
Andrzej Bobola Czuma is a Polish politician,lawyer and historian. His son Mateusz Morawiecki is the Prime Minister of Poland and was a former chairman of Bank Zachodni WBK.
Zbigniew Dionizy Ścibor-Rylski was a Polish brigadier general and aviator who was a participant of the Warsaw Uprising during the World War II. As a Polish Air Force officer,he fought alongside the resistance movement starting in 1940 and rose through the ranks of Armia Krajowa.
The Pro Patria Medal is a civil state decoration of Poland. Established in 2011,it is awarded by the Head of the Office for War Veterans and Victims of Oppression.
Teresa Klimek (1929-2013) was a Polish educator and activist. Educated to teach mathematics,she taught in various schools in Gorzów Wielkopolski from 1953 to 1984 and was honored for her skill as an educator. She helped found the Gorzów Wielkopolski branch of the Catholic Intellectuals Club as well as the regional branch of Solidarity. Her activism during Poland's struggle for democracy was widely recognized at both the local and national level and she was honored with numerous medals and awards.

Maciej Klich(Mattias Jan-Maria) [ˈmat͡ɕɛj klʲix'] is a Polish historian,graphic artist,and a former anti-communist Polish independence diaspora activist. In 1980,Klich co-founded the Independent Students' Association in Silesia. Klich was interned from 24 December 1981,during the martial law set by the communist regime in Poland. In internment camps,Klich created 70+ stamps for the so-called "camp mail". Klich was released on 23 July 1982. After his release,Klich participated in the underground Solidarity,and the underground Independent Students' Association In 1984,Klich had to forcefully immigrate to Stockholm,Sweden due to a "forced migration" set by the communist regime in Poland. He was then banned from entering Poland from 1984 until the regime's fall in 1989. After immigrating to Sweden,Klich would help Lithuanian children in international summer camps and would sponsor International Scout Integration Camps from 1992 to 2001.
