Philippa Claire Wilson MBE (born 7 February 1986 in Southampton) is an English professional sailor.

She won a gold medal in the Yngling sailing class in the 2008 Summer Olympics in Beijing, together with Sarah Webb and Sarah Ayton. [1]

Wilson was appointed Member of the Order of the British Empire (MBE) in the 2009 New Year Honours. [2]

Pippa started her sailing career in the well renowned youth class dinghy, the Cadet then progressed to the 29er, 420, 470 then Yngling.

Annemieke Marileen Bes is a sailor from the Netherlands, who represented her country for the first time at the 2004 Summer Olympics in Athens. The Dutch Yngling helmed by Annelies Thies and crewed by Bes and Petronella de Jong took the 4th place. Bes returned to the Olympics, again in the Dutch Yngling, during the 2008 Olympics this time with fellow crewmember Merel Witteveen and helmsman Mandy Mulder. The Dutch Yngling team took the Silver Medal in Qingdao. Bes than switched to the Elliott 6m Match racing. During the 2012 Olympics the team with helmsman Renee Groeneveld and crewmembers Bes and Marcelien Bos-de Koning took 8th place in Weymouth.

Carol Newman Cronin is an American Olympic sailor and author who competed in the Yngling class at the 2004 Summer Olympics. She won the 2018 Women's Snipe World Championship and was third at the 2004 Women's Yngling World Championship. She also won the 2002 US Sailing's Miami Olympic Classes Regatta in the Yngling class. As tactician, she won the 1999 Rolex International Women's Keelboat Championship sailing with Pat Connerney.

The Yngling World Championship is international sailing regatta in the Yngling (keelboat) class organized by the host club on behalf of International Yngling Class Association and recognized by the World Sailing.
