The Dream Syndicate is an American alternative rock band from Los Angeles, California, originally active from 1981 to 1989, and reunited since 2012. The band is associated with neo-psychedelia and the Paisley Underground music movement; of the bands in that movement, according to the Los Angeles Times, the Dream Syndicate "rocked with the highest degree of unbridled passion and conviction." Though never commercially successful, the band met with considerable acclaim, especially for its songwriting and guitar playing. Bandleader Steve Wynn reformed the band in 2012, and a fifth studio album was released in February 2017.
Cherie Ann Currie is an American musician, actress and artist. Currie was the lead vocalist of the Runaways, a rock band from Los Angeles, in the mid-to-late 1970s. After the Runaways, she became a solo artist. Then she teamed up with her identical twin sister, Marie Currie, and released an album with her. Their duet "Since You've Been Gone" reached number 95 on US charts. Their band was called Cherie and Marie Currie. She is also well known for her role in the movie Foxes.

The California Outside Music Association was a nonprofit music presenter and networking organization operating in the Los Angeles area from 1983 until 1991. The organization is best known for producing the album A Beginner’s Guide to COMA and a series of festivals called Day of Music. Founded by Titus Levi and Eric Potruch, COMA officially launched on March 3, 1983, when the two founders passed out a flyer describing COMA’s planned activities. This flyer came to be known as The COMA Manifesto. COMA's goals included bringing an eclectic scope of artists from diverse genres, for concerts and festivals. Genres included jazz, jazz rock, progressive rock, experimental 20th century compositions, ambient music music-concrete, free-jazz, post-rock improvisation, experimental rap, and multicultural/trans-cultural experiments.

Ghost Stories is the fourth studio album by the Los Angeles-based alternative rock band The Dream Syndicate. It was released in 1988, just a year before the band broke up. The album was re-released in 2004, with eight additional tracks recorded live for radio.
Shrine Exposition Hall, Los Angeles, CA 11/10/1967 is a live album by the rock band the Grateful Dead. A three-disc vinyl LP, it contains the complete concert recorded on November 10, 1967 at the Shrine Exposition Hall in Los Angeles, California. It was released by Rhino Records in January 2016, in a limited edition of 6,700 copies. Unlike Dick's Picks, Road Trips, Dave's Picks, and certain other of the band's archival series of live album releases, which are simply two-track stereo recordings made from the soundboard during the concert, the show on the album was recorded on an 8-track multitrack recorder and was mixed down to stereo just prior to the album's release.
Dave Schulz is a funk, pop, and rock musician from Buffalo, New York. Schulz has released albums as a solo artist, as the headliner of the band C.O. Jones, and as a band member. Schulz is currently also the keyboardist for Berlin, Cherie Currie and Brie Darling, and Into The Frequency. Previous to that, Schulz was a core member of Lance Diamond's 24 Karat Diamond Band, and since the late 1990s has toured and performed internationally with bands including Goo Goo Dolls, Fastball, English Beat, Wang Chung, The Rembrandts, Fuel, General Public, and DEVO founder Gerald Casale's Jihad Jerry & the Evildoers among many others.
TPC is a studio album by Canadian indie rock group Tokyo Police Club, released by Dine Alone Records on October 5, 2018. The album reunites the band with their early, spontaneous style as well as with Champ producer Rob Schnapf. The album was well-received by fans and critics and was nominated for the 2019 Juno Award for Alternative Album of the Year. Two companion records were released in 2020: a self-released collection of demos as well as the Dine Alone-released EP TPC DLX.
