The Multinational Aircrew Electronic Warfare Tactics Facility Polygone, known more briefly as Polygone, is an electronic warfare tactics range located on the border between Germany and France. It is a tri-national facility operated by France, Germany, and the United States. [1]
The range, also referred to as the Multi-national Aircrew Electronic Warfare Tactics Facility (MAEWTF), is jointly operated by personnel from the United States, German, and French air forces.
The particular sites of the range are coordinated by CCC systems provided by Computer Application Services (www.casltd.co.uk) - SPICCCS at RAF Spadeadam & EPICCCS at Polygone. These systems additionally provide debrief products for aircrew.

In order to provide civil / military air traffic management co-ordination the EUROCONTROL software tools ADMAR and ADMAR 2000 have been used. These products were replaced by CIMACT in 2005.

The site and course of Hadrian's Wall runs a few miles south of the range.
The Naval Aviation Warfighting Development Center was formerly known as the Naval Strike and Air Warfare Center at Naval Air Station Fallon located in the city of Fallon in western Nevada. It is the center of excellence for naval aviation training and tactics development. The Advanced Airlift Tactics Training Center, (AATTC), is located at Rosecrans Air National Guard Base, Saint Joseph, Missouri. The host unit is the 139th Airlift Wing, Missouri Air National Guard. Founded in 1983, the AATTC was the brainchild of Major Howard W. Dixon, a pilot who sought the need to establish low level combat survival training and maneuvers for C-130 aircrews; as well as the airlift community as a whole. This evasive aerial survival training had been exclusive to the fighter community up until the establishment of the AATTC, which would expand this training to C-130 aircrews. The school would continue to evolve with the combined efforts of the technicians, AGR's and members of the 180th Airlift Squadron.

Naval Aircrewman (AW) is an enlisted general rating of the U.S. Navy. Sailors in the AW rating serve as aircraft systems operators or inflight system maintenance technicians aboard U. S. However, starting in 1944, the air echelon of the squadron deployed to North Africa to map that area. After V-E Day, the squadron moved to England and mapped large areas of Europe until October 1945, when it began to stand down for inactivation. It was briefly active in the reserve from 1947 to 1949 as the 19th Reconnaissance Squadron.
