Ponte da Varela is a bridge in Aveiro District in Portugal. It was inaugurated on June 22, 1964, [1] after a lengthy design phase. The bridge is constructed of concrete and steel, with the legs far enough apart to allow ships to pass beneath.

It once again became the longest bridge in Europe, taking the spot of the Crimean Bridge, and the longest one in the European Union. As of August 12th, 2023, it is the longest intact bridge in Europe, following missile strikes against the Crimean Bridge. It was built to alleviate the congestion on Lisbon's 25 de Abril Bridge, and eliminate the need for traffic between the country's northern and southern regions to pass through the capital city.

Estarreja is a municipality in Portugal. The population in 2011 was 26,997, in an area of 108.17 km2. It had 22,746 eligible voters in 2006. The Lighthouse of Praia da Barra, also known as the Aveiro Lighthouse, is an active lighthouse in the civil parish of Gafanha da Nazaré, municipality of Ílhavo, in the Portuguese district of Aveiro. Situated on the coastal Praia da Barra, at the southern margin of the Ria de Aveiro, it is the tallest lighthouse in Portugal, with a height of 203 feet (62 m) overseeing the barrier beach and exposed to Atlantic storms. It is open to the public and visits are held on Wednesdays from 14:00 to 17:00.
Flávio Teixeira, known as Flávio Murtosa or simply Murtosa, is a Brazilian former professional footballer and currently professional football manager. Murtosa has a long friendship with FIFA World Cup winning manager Luiz Felipe Scolari and works mostly as his assistant coach.
