Poul Weber (born 30 December 1949) is a Danish politician, representing the Liberal party Venstre . He served as the last County Mayor of Funen County. As from 1 January 2007, Funen forms part of Region Syddanmark.
Weber became County Mayor after this predecessor, Jan Boye, was elected Mayor of Odense in the Danish municipal elections of 15 November 2005. In the same election Weber ran for a seat in the Region Council of Region Syddanmark, where he was elected with a total of 8,011 votes. [1] He previously served as Mayor of Egebjerg municipality, 1989–2001. [2]
Weber is married and the father of three children. He has worked in the construction business and is a fruit grower by profession. [1]

Kerteminde Municipality is a municipality in Region of Southern Denmark on the northeast coast of the island of Funen in central Denmark. The municipality includes the island of Romsø, and it covers an area of 203 km2. It has a total population of 23,630 (2008). Its mayor is Sonja Rasmussen, a former member of the Social Democratic Party (Socialdemokraterne). Just after the 2009 local election, Rasmussen became an Independent and was elected as the new mayor with the support of the right-wing parties. The main town and the site of its municipal council is the town of Kerteminde.
The Region of Southern Denmark is an administrative region of Denmark established on Monday 1 January 2007 as part of the 2007 Danish Municipal Reform, which abolished the traditional counties ("amter") and set up five larger regions. At the same time, smaller municipalities were merged into larger units, cutting the number of municipalities from 271 before 1 January 2007 to 98. The Region of Southern Denmark has 22 municipalities. The reform was implemented in Denmark on 1 January 2007, although the merger of the Funish municipalities of Ærøskøbing and Marstal, being a part of the reform, was given the go-ahead to be implemented on Sunday 1 January 2006, one year before the main reform. It borders Schleswig-Holstein (Germany) to the south and Central Denmark Region to the north and is connected to Region Zealand via the Great Belt Fixed Link.
Kolding municipality is a municipality in Region Syddanmark on the east coast of the Jutland peninsula in southeast Denmark. The municipality covers an area of 640 km², and has a total population of 87,781 (2008). Its mayor is Jørn Pedersen, a member of the Liberal Party (Venstre) political party. The main city and the site of its municipal council is the seaport city of Kolding, the sixth largest city in Denmark.
Central Denmark Region, or more directly translated as Central Jutland Region and sometimes simply Mid Jutland, is an administrative region of Denmark established on 1 January 2007 as part of the 2007 Danish Municipal Reform. The reform abolished the traditional counties (amter) and replaced them with five new administrative regions. At the same time, smaller municipalities were merged into larger units, cutting the total number of municipalities from 271 to 98. Central Denmark Region comprises 19 municipalities.
The five Regions of Denmark were created as administrative entities at a level above the municipalities and below the central government in the public sector as part of the 2007 Danish Municipal Reform, when the 13 counties (amter) were abolished. At the same time, the number of municipalities (kommuner) was cut from 270 to 98. The reform was approved and made into a law by the lawmakers in the Folketing 26 June 2005 with elections to the 98 municipalities and 5 regions being held Tuesday 15 November 2005.
Ærø Municipality is a municipality occupying the 88 km² island of Ærø in southern Denmark. The municipality belongs to Region of Southern Denmark. The municipality also encompasses Birkholm and the uninhabited islands Lilleø, Dejrø and Halmø.
Jan Boye was a Danish politician, representing the Conservative Party. From 1 January 2006 to 31 December 2009, he was mayor of Odense, Denmark's third largest city. He served as County Mayor of Funen County from 2001-05. He also served as the chairman of Dansk Håndbold Forbund from June 2011 to his death.
Carl Holst is a Danish politician, representing the liberal party Venstre. He is the first Region Mayor of Region of Southern Denmark, an office he assumed on 1 January 2007. He served as County Mayor of South Jutland County from 1 July 2000, following the unexpected resignation of the former county mayor, Kresten Philipsen. Holst was re-elected in 2001, and served in this capacity until 31 December 2006, when the Danish counties were abolished.

Bo Libergren is a Danish politician, representing the Liberal party Venstre. He was elected to the county council of Funen County in 1994 and returned in 1998 and 2001. From 2001 to 2006 he served as chairman of the county's newly created committee of disease prevention. In the Danish municipal elections on 15 November 2005 stood for the new region council of Region of Southern Denmark and was elected, more than tripling his number of votes from the election in 2001.
Humble Parish is a parish of the Diocese of Funen in Denmark. The parish is located in Langeland Kommune. Until 2007, the parish was in the Sydlangeland Municipality, and until 1970 was in Svendborg County.
