Krishna district is one of the nine districts in the Coastal Andhra region of the Indian state of Andhra Pradesh. Machilipatnam is the administrative headquarters and Vijayawada is the most populated city in the district. It has an area of 8,727 km2 (3,370 sq mi) and had a population of 4,529,009 as per 2011 census of India. It is bounded by West Godavari on the east, Bay of Bengal on the South, Guntur and Suryapet districts in the west and a portion of it also borders with the state of Telangana.

National Highway 216 is a National Highway in the Indian state of Andhra Pradesh. The former highways of NH 214 and 214A were merged and renumbered as NH 216. It starts from NH 16 junction at Kattipudi and passes through Kakinada, Amalapuram, Digamarru (Palakollu), Narasapuram, Machilipatnam, Bapatla, Chirala before it junctions NH 16 again at Ongole. Ukku Stadium or Trishna Stadium or Steel Plant Stadium is a cricket ground located in Vizag, Andhra Pradesh, India. The first first-class to be played there came in the 1991 Ranji Trophy when Andhra cricket team played Karnataka cricket team. Between the 1991 season to the 2004/06 season, the ground held 8 first-class matches.

The ground is home of India women's national cricket team and Women's Cricket Academy is located. The ground is yet to hosted international match but has many women's domestic mathes.
South Coast Railway Stadium is a multi purpose stadium in Visakhapatnam, Andhra Pradesh. The ground is mainly used for organizing matches of football, cricket and other sports. The stadium has hosted a first-class matches in 1964 when Andhra cricket team played against Hyderabad cricket team. The ground has held seven further first-class matches, the last of which came in the 1997/98 Ranji Trophy when Andhra cricket team and the Goa cricket team.
CSR Sarma College Ground is a cricket ground in Ongole, Andhra Pradesh. It is owned by CSR Sharma College along with Prakasam District Cricket Association and was established in 2012. The first first-class to be played there came in the 2015 Ranji Trophy when Andhra cricket team played Tripura cricket team. Till date the ground has hosted two more first-class matches in 2015 season. The ground hosted few under-19s state matches.
