Prasanth Mambully [1] is an Indian film director, screen writer and actor from Guruvayur, Kerala. He started his movie career by acting in Malayalam films, and later in 2008, made his directorial debut with Bhagavan . Bhagavan was completed in 19 hours, which was a world record at that time in Malayalam film industry. [2]

Biography

Prasanth was born in Guruvayur, Thrissur, Kerala, India.[ citation needed ] He began his movie career with stage shows, television programs and small roles in movies.[ citation needed ]

In 2008 Prasanth made his debut in directing. Bhagavan was Prasanth's first movie with Malayalam super star Mohanlal in lead role. The movie was completed within a time span of 19 hours which was a world record. While his second movie was in Kannada, the movie Sugreeva [3] with Kannada superstar Shivarajkumar in lead. Prasanth broke his own record and completed the movie Sugreeva with in 18 hours, for this achievement he was included Limca Book of Records [4] as the fastest film maker of Indian film industry.

In 2012 he marked his debut in Tamil with the film unka veettu pillai.[ citation needed ] His next movie Pachakallam was released in 2016 with Maqbool Salmaan nephew of actor megastar Mammooty in lead role along with actors Abbas and Thiagarajan. In 2017 movie Sadrishavakyam 24:29 was released under prasanth's direction, where Manoj K. Jayan and Sheelu Abraham have done the lead roles.[ citation needed ]

In 2018 he announced his Hindi-language debut, Sreedevi Bungalow. The movie is titled as Sridevi Bungalow [5] starring Priya Prakash Varrier [6] in lead role with a budget of 70 crores [7] the movie is planned to be shot in London.

Bhagavan (transl. God) is a 2009 Indian Malayalam-language medical drama film written and directed by Prasanth Mambully, starring Mohanlal and Daniel Balaji. The story is about Dr. Balagopal who fights a terrorist group led by Saifudeen who attacks his hospital. The entire film was shot in 19 hours aiming the Guinness World Records, but citing technical issues it did not receive the record. The film was shot simultaneously at six different locations. Seven cameras were used for filming. The film was originally planned to be shot within 12 hours, but unexpected rain delayed the shooting.

Lucifer is a 2019 Indian Malayalam-language political action thriller film directed by Prithviraj Sukumaran and written by Murali Gopy. Love is a 2004 Indian Kannada-language romance film written, directed and produced by Rajendra Singh Babu. The film stars Mohanlal, Aditya, making his debut, and Rakshita in lead roles, while Amrish Puri and Kota Srinivasa Rao feature in supporting roles. This was also Mohanlal debut in Kannada. The film features soundtrack composed by Bollywood composer Anu Malik, marking his debut in Kannada cinema. A. R.
