Prashant Gupta (born 23 June 1988) is an Indian first-class cricketer who plays for Uttar Pradesh. [1] He made his first-class debut for Uttar Pradesh in the Ranji Trophy Superleague phase on 18 November 2008. [2] He made his List A debut for Uttar Pradesh in the Vijay Hazare Trophy on 14 February 2013. [3] He made his Twenty20 debut for Uttar Pradesh in the Syed Mushtaq Ali Trophy on 24 October 2011. [4] He retired from Indian first class setup in 2019 to ply his trade in overseas leagues. He was drafted in by Deccan Gladiators in 2019 in the Abu Dhabi T10 League . He also featured in the 2021 edition for Deccan Gladiators under Kieron Pollard's captaincy. Outside of cricket he has a keen interest in small (always spherical) particles.
Suresh Raina is an Indian former international cricketer. He occasionally served as stand-in captain for the Indian men's national cricket team as well as in IPL for Chennai Super Kings during the absence of the main captain,MS Dhoni. He is the first Indian batsman to hit a century in all three formats of international cricket. During his time with India,he won the 2011 Cricket World Cup and the 2013 ICC Champions Trophy. Raina made history being the first Indian to score a century in the ICC Men's T20 World Cup,which he did with his 101 runs against South Africa at the 2010 Tournament.
Yashpal Sharma was an Indian international cricketer. He was a middle order batsman who played during the 1970s and 80s. He was a member of the Indian team that won the 1983 Cricket World Cup. He represented India in 37 Tests and 42 One Day Internationals (ODIs) between 1978 and 1985. His nephew Chetan Sharma was also a cricketer. He was fondly nicknamed by Sunil Gavaskar as the Crisis Man for India.

The 2021–22 Ranji Trophy was the 87th season of the Ranji Trophy,the premier first-class cricket tournament in India. The tournament was split into two phases,with the league stage being played from 17 February to 15 March 2022,and the knockout phase played from 6 to 26 June 2022. Due to the delayed start of the tournament because of the COVID-19 pandemic,teams were split into eight Elite groups,instead of five as per previous editions,and the Plate Group. The seven teams that won their Elite Group with the best points progressed to the knockout phase. They were joined by the winner of the pre-quarter-final match between the Elite Group winning team with the fewest points and the winner of the Plate Group.
