Bahar, who is actually just a "small thug", but his territory is quite large, besides being a protector (backing) for street vendors, he also controls a market (Palasari Market) and a bus terminal (Cicaheum Terminal) in Bandung. The story that will be told in this series is not his life journey from the beginning, although it is also told in some dialogues, but the story of his old age when he decided to retire.
The past that is told in the dialogue is Bahar who migrated from Garut to Bandung around 1972 when he was a teenager, because his family in the village was very poor. In Bandung City, the teenage Bahar made a living as a seller of tofu, leupeut, and salted eggs on the bus before leaving the terminal.
Bahar's income at that time was not large, just enough, tending to be minimal. Even so, he still accepted it as his fortune. But what he could not accept was that he had to pay taxes to the thugs. Bahar then thought that rather than being “taxed” it would be better for him to collect the tax.
The martial arts skills he learned because of the tradition in the village and the determination that later emerged to survive and succeed in the diaspora, made him then dare to slowly enter the thug network that controlled the terminal. Starting from just “small change”, over time, year after year, slowly, Bahar then reached the peak of power.
The first ten years, Bahar was only part of the power holders of a thug network, the remaining twenty years, Bahar was the power holder who gripped the streets, markets and terminals.
His right hand man was Muslihat, an amateur thief who entered his house about twenty years ago. Muslihat was successfully subdued until he was unconscious and only regained consciousness three days later, in front of Bahar and the police. After finding out that Muslihat stole to pay for his mother to go to the hospital, Bahar asked the police not to process his case legally, acknowledged Muslihat as his brother and the problem would be resolved amicably.
Then Muslihat was given one million rupiah, which at that time was quite a large amount. After a week, Muslihat returned to Bahar with the money still intact. Muslihat intended to return the money, because when Muslihat returned to his village (in Samarang, Garut) with the money, his mother had already died.
Bahar then asked Muslihat to work for him. Muslihat's respect and trust in Bahar made them inseparable until twenty years later. Muslihat then recruited Komar at the terminal, who was previously a busker who was helped by Muslihat and worked for him because his favorite guitar was lost.
Meanwhile, in the future, a big-time pickpocket like Junaedi recruited two people as partners, namely Saep and Ubed. Meanwhile, Bahar's men continued to grow. The terminal owner, Jamal, committed violence in Dago. Then he was raided by the police, but Bahar and Muslihat let him be held in prison, until Jamal took revenge on Muslihat even though he was only half-hearted towards Bahar.
