Prima Donna is a double album recording of Rufus Wainwright's 2009 opera of the same name, released internationally by the German classical record label Deutsche Grammophon (Universal Music Group) [1] on September 11, 2015 and on October 2, 2015 in Canada, Mexico, and the United States. [2] The recording features performances by Janis Kelly, Kathryn Guthrie, Antonio Figueroa, Richard Morrison, and Jayce Ogren conducting the BBC Symphony Orchestra. [3] The album's release coincided with Prima Donna: A Symphonic Visual Concert .

Countertenor Brennan Hall, Brent Carver, Glen Hansard, Ezra Koenig and Andrew Rannells also appeared. Released by Deutsche Grammophon and Universal Music Canada on April 22, 2016, the tribute album commemorates the 400th anniversary of William Shakespeare's death.

Janis Kelly is a Scottish operatic soprano and voice teacher. She is Professor and Chair of Vocal Performance at the Royal College of Music in London.
