Prime Blues is the fourth widely available studio album by American musician and computer scientist Jim Allchin. The release date of the album was September 21, 2018 by Sandy Key Music. The album contains 14 new contemporary blues songs. The front grill cover of the amplifier shown on the album artwork highlights all the prime numbers through one million.

Reception

Prime Blues reached the #1 Top Blues Album on the Roots Music Report which tracks American Roots Music radio airplay in 2018. It entered the RMR charts on October 6, 2018, charting in at #35. Since Oct 13, 2018, Prime Blues has remained in the top 10 Blues Albums according to RMR and as of January 12, 2019 was the #2 Blues album and #1 Contemporary Blues album. [1] As of May 20, 2019, Prime Blues has been on the Roots Music Report chart for 33 weeks. Even though released in September 2018, Prime Blues finished as the 16th most played Contemporary Blues album for 2018 according to RMR. [2]

Prime Blues was a Silver Medal Winner in the Global Music Awards in 2018. [3]

"Two Bad Dreams" from the Prime Blues won second place in the International Songwriting Competition in the Blues category from over 19,000 entries. [4]

"Give It Up" the first track from Prime Blues was a finalist in the 2018 UK Songwriting Contest in the Jazz/Blues category. [5]

The Windy City Strugglers are one of New Zealand's most enduring blues bands. Their music is based on the singing, songwriting, and guitar playing of Bill Lake, and the vocals of Rick Bryant. Their long-serving band members are Andrew Delahunty on guitar, harmonica and mandolin and on double bass Nick Bollinger who has a career as writer, critic and broadcaster and head of Red Rocks Records, the band's label. Their music is a unique amalgam of mostly black American styles, which has evolved into a personal expression combining the band's blues roots with a wide range of other historical and contemporary influences. Moving with ease from an acoustic format to a full electric lineup, the Strugglers are equally at home in a folk club, blues bar, or concert hall.

The Teskey Brothers Blues rock group

The Teskey Brothers are an Australian blues rock band from Melbourne, named after the two brothers who formed the group in 2008: Josh Teskey and Sam Teskey. The band also includes Brendon Love and Liam Gough (drums). In 2019 they signed with Glassnote Records and Ivy League Records. They have released two albums, Half Mile Harvest (2017) and Run Home Slow (2019). At the 2019 ARIA Music Awards, The Teskey Brothers were nominated for seven awards. They won three categories for the album, Run Home Slow, Best Group, Best Blues and Roots Album and Engineer of the Year.

Matthew Prozialeck is an American blues harmonica player. He is best known for being a member of Erin Harpe & the Delta Swingers and also for his solo and session work. He has performed with many different blues artists and has appeared on several charting releases.
