Priscilla Kayira is a Malawian radio broadcaster, [1] presenter [2] and television personality. [3] [4] [5] [6] [7] In 2019, Kayira was nominated the Personality of the Year along with Luna and Sharon Chirwa in UMP Media Awards. [8] [9] She won the same award in the same category in 2020 and 2022. [7] [10] She was born in Mzuzu and moved to Southern Region to purse her career. She is a Tumbuka by tribe. [7] Her role model was the former MBC-TV personality, Tamara Chafunya. [7]

She attended Marymount Secondary School. She has a degree in communications (Electronic media) with fours years experience in TV and Radio. [11] She has worked with various media stations and organizations in Malawi and Kenya. [11]

She is married to Romuled Nsane.

Juliet Royo was a Malawian radio presenter and broadcaster. She gained national recognition in Malawi when she worked on Radio 2 FM and worked with Joy Nathu and Anne Kadammanja. She died in 2021.

Alleluya Band is an oldest Malawian music group founded by Paul Banda his brother Lucius Banda from Balaka. The band started and rose to fame in 1970s. The band's current leader is Coss Chiwalo. In 2021, the group released their 13th album in May. In 2018 and 2019, the band visited Rome and met with Pope Francis for Panama for World Youth Day. In 2020, after the band embarked from Italy, they were quarantined due to Covid-19. The band has also shared stage with different artists such as Skeffa Chimoto and Dan Lufani.

Aubrey Ghambi, best known as Suffix, is a Malawian gospel rapper and songwriter. In 2020, he won a UMP Award in best gospel act. In 2018, his album titled "Before I Sleep" won the category Album of the Year in UMP Awards and he was nominated as Best Hip Hop Artist as well as Best Urban Gospel. In 2016, was nominated for the same category and award.

Fredo Penjani Kamlepo Kalua, best known as Fredokiss, is a Malawian rapper and songwriter. In 2020, he was nominated in UMP Award in Best Hip Hop Act and his music video "Dadada" won Music Video of the Year. In 2017, he won three categories namely, Artist of the Year, Best rapper and Best Live Act.

Nyasa Music Awards are Malawian music awards that were established in early 2017 to celebrate entertainers and other minorities in music, fashion and philanthropy. The annual presentation event that takes place in major cities of the country features performances by artists and they are one of the major Malawi's music industry awards. The event recognizes Malawian music from all genres, including traditional, soul, and gospel. The awards also promote culture, with the 2017 event host of an African Print party that encourages people to showcase their traditional outfits. The awards include media sister awards and its categories are split into male and female.

Angel Mbekeani, best known as Sangie, is a Malawian reggae artist and songwriter. In 2015, she won as the best female artist of the year in UMP Awards. In 2016 and 2019, she was nominated in the same awards in Best Female Artist of the Year. In 2017, she won in the same awards in Best Female Act.

Shukuran Mwachumu better known by his stage name Janta, is a Malawian Afro Pop artist. In 2015, his song titled Wangongole won a Nyasa Music Award in Best Song of the Year category. In 2019, his music video won Best video of the year in UMP Awards.

In 2020, he won a UMP Award for Best Hip Hop Artist of the Year.

Geoffrey Kapusa was a veteran Malawian television and radio broadcaster and presenter. He was known to have started a television music show called 'Malawi Music Splash' programme on Malawi's MBC state television in early 2000s. He was known as Mr. Splash as a result of his flagship TV music show. Kapusa worked for Malawi Broadcasting Cooperation (MBC) before a brief stint with Times Group.

Chifuniro Steven Magalasi, best professionally known as Eli Njuchi, is a Malawian singer and songwriter. In 2018, he won a UMP Award in Best New Act. In 2019, he won another UMP award as the best male of the year.

Zeze Kingston is a Malawian Afropiano singer, songwriter and television personality. In 2023, he won Male Artist of the Year at the Maso Awards that took place at BICC in Lilongwe. He also won Best Live Act.
