Sharon Chirwa is a Malawian author [1] [2] [3] and television personality. [4] She was born in Mzuzu. She is a Tumbuka by tribe. In 2019, Chirwa was nominated the Personality of the Year along with Luna and Priscilla Kayira in UMP Media Awards. [5] In 2020, she was nominated for Best Female TV Personality. [6]

An educator and grassroots women's rights activist, she was the Minister of Foreign Affairs from 2006 to 2009 and the Vice-President of Malawi from May 2009 to April 2012. She has served in various roles as a member of Parliament and as Minister of Gender and Child Welfare before she became the President of the Republic of Malawi.

Peter Mponda is a retired Malawian association footballer. He played as a central defender and was the captain of the Malawi national team. He is currently the head coach for the Black Leopards in the South African National First Division.

She fought for multiparty democratic rule in Malawi and was charged with treason, tried and sentenced to death by President Kamuzu Banda. She spent 12 years on death row. She was married to lawyer Orton Chirwa, Malawian Minister of Justice and Attorney General, who later died in prison.

Teresa is the first female chairperson of the Media Institute of Southern Africa MISA Malawi Chapter, and the recipient of the 2010 CNN/Multichoice Health and Medical reporting award. In 2012, she received the MISA Malawi Investigative Journalist award electronic media while in 2013, she received the Overall Journalist of the Year award for the same award. The ceremony is held annually, usually in late November or December, with the judging process starting in October of the same year. The nominations are typically announced at the end of September. Luna MC is a Malawian radio broadcaster, presenter and television personality. In 2019, Luna won the Personality of the Year along with Priscilla Kayira and Sharon Chirwa in UMP Media Awards. In 2018, Luna won best tv presenter of the year in Nyasa Music Awards.

Priscilla Kayira is a Malawian radio broadcaster, presenter and television personality. She was born in Mzuzu and moved to Southern Region to purse her career. She is a Tumbuka by tribe. Her role model was the former MBC-TV personality, Tamara Chafunya.
