Priyamvad (born 22 December 1952 [1] ) is an Indian writer in Hindi literature. [2] He has written novels, short stories, and essays, and is also the editor of the Hindi journal Akaar. [3]

Career

Priyamvad started writing as a student. His first book was Lal Kaner Ke Phool, a book of poetry. In 1980 he came third in a national story-writing competition from the Delhi-based magazine Sarika, for his story "Boshidani". [4]

Priyamvad won the national Vanmali Katha Puraskar in 2019. [5] [6] Some researchers have analysed parts of his work. [7]

Gadar: Ek Prem Katha is a 2001 Indian Hindi-language romantic period action drama film directed by Anil Sharma from a story written by Shaktimaan Talwar and set during the Partition of India in 1947. Loosely based on the life of Boota Singh, the film stars Sunny Deol, Ameesha Patel and Utkarsh Sharma in lead roles, alongside Amrish Puri, Lillete Dubey and Vivek Shauq in supporting roles.

Rahi Masoom Raza was an Indian Urdu and Hindi poet and writer and a Bollywood lyricist. He won the Filmfare Award for Best Dialogue three times, for his work in Main Tulsi Tere Aangan Ki (1979), Tawaif (1985) and Lamhe (1991). He is best known for writing the screenplay and dialogues for the television series Mahabharat, which was based on the ancient Indian epic, the Mahabharata.
