Priyanshu Painyuli is an Indian actor who appears in Hindi films. He has his breakout role in Bhavesh Joshi Superhero (2018), after which he appeared in the American action film Extraction (2020). [1] He has also starred in the crime drama series Mirzapur (2020-2024).

Personal life

He married his girlfriend with whom he had been in a relationship from past seven years, Vandana Joshi, on 26 November 2020. [2]

Career

Priyanshu started his career as a model and assistant director. He made his acting debut with Manuja Tyagi's movie Love At First Sight. After this film, he got an offer from Farhan Akhtar for remake film Rock On 2 .

In 2018, he featured in Vikramaditya Motwane's Bhavesh Joshi Superhero [3] in which he played the role of Bhavesh Joshi. [4] He played Robin (Radhesyam) in the second season of Mirzapur an Amazon Prime Video action crime thriller series. Painyuli also appeared in High Jack and in Once Again in 2018. He played the role of Kapil in 2019 Netflix film Upstarts. [5]

In 2020, he played the role of a Bangladeshi crime lord in Sam Hargrave's directorial debut Extraction . He starred opposite Taapsee Pannu in the sports film Rashmi Rocket . [6]

Lootera is a 2013 Indian Hindi-language period romantic drama film directed by Vikramaditya Motwane and the second half is based on author O. Henry's 1907 short story The Last Leaf. It is the second film directed by Motwane after the critically acclaimed Udaan (2010). Set in the 1950s, against the backdrop of the Zamindari Abolition Act by the newly independent India, it tells the story of a young conman posing as an archaeologist and the daughter of a Bengali zamindar. The film stars Sonakshi Sinha and Ranveer Singh in lead roles. Produced by Shobha Kapoor, Ekta Kapoor, Anurag Kashyap and Vikas Bahl, the film features music and background score by Amit Trivedi with lyrics penned by Amitabh Bhattacharya and cinematography by Mahendra J. Shetty.

Mirzapur is an Indian action crime thriller streaming television series created for Amazon Prime Video, by Karan Anshuman, who wrote the script along with Puneet Krishna & Vineet Krishna. Anshuman directed the first season of the series, along with Gurmmeet Singh and Mihir Desai, the latter of whom directed the second season. It was released on 18 October 2019 on Netflix. Upstart was announced by Netflix among the nine films to be made by them. Raja Krishna Menon served as the creative producer.

It chronicles the ups and downs and moments of glory in Mithali's life. The film was released on 15 July 2022. It received mixed to positive reviews from critics but was a major box-office disaster, grossing just under a tenth of its budget at the box office.
