Profronde van Oostvoorne (English: Proftour of Oostvoorne) is an elite men's and women's professional road bicycle racing event held annually in Oostvoorne, the Netherlands. The first edition was in 1985. The event is one of the post-Tour de France criteriums. [1] [2] [3]

Oostvoorne is a town in the Dutch province of South Holland. It is a part of the municipality of Voorne aan Zee, and lies about 9 km (6 mi) north of Hellevoetsluis.
The Tour of Flanders, formerly the Tour of Flanders for Women, is an annual road bicycle racing event in Flanders, Belgium, held in early April. It is held on the same day as the men's race, on much of the same roads but at a shorter distance. Dutch riders Mirjam Melchers, Annemiek van Vleuten and German Judith Arndt hold the record with two wins each. Lotte Kopecky won the most recent edition in 2022.
The Vrouwen Eredivisie, also known as the Azerion Eredivisie Vrouwen due to a 3 year sponsor contract starting from the 2022–2023 season, is the highest women's football league in the Netherlands. Organized by the Royal Dutch Football Association (KNVB) it was established in 2007 as a professional league and played for five seasons until 2012 when the leagues of the Netherlands and Belgium merged forming a single combined league. After three seasons the BeNe League folded and the Eredivisie was restarted in the 2015–16 season. The league winner receives a spot in the UEFA Women's Champions League.

FC Utrecht Vrouwen was the women's football section of Dutch club FC Utrecht based in Utrecht. Established in 2007, as one of the founding members of the professional Dutch women's football league the team competed in the league from its inaugural season (2007–08) until 2011–12 and the BeNe League from 2012–13 until the team's dissolution in January 2014. The club won the Dutch Cup once and the Dutch Super Cup once.

The 2012–13 season of the Women's BeNe League was the first season of the Belgium and the Netherlands' women's football top level league. Since this was the first season, the league had no reigning champion, although both countries had reigning champions from their former top leagues—Standard Liège in Belgium and ADO Den Haag in the Netherlands. The season started on 24 August 2012. The championship was won by FC Twente.

Since 1995, the men's event is UCI 1.2 rated and is part of the UCI Europe Tour. Since 1997 there is also a women's event. The women's race also had the names GP Van der Heijden and GP Sankomij Veldhoven.
The Women's time trial of the 2014 Dutch National Time Trial Championships (NK tijdrijden 2014) will take place in Zaltbommel, the Netherlands, on 25 June 2014. It is the eighth time that Zaltbommel organizes the Dutch National Time Trial Championships. The last time was in 2009. Also Emmen showed interest to organizes the National Time Trial Championships, but will now be the host in 2015.
