CR Connect FM 107.8 is a community radio station established in 2012 by a rural development NGO, S M Sehgal Foundation, with seed funding from the Ministry of Agriculture, Government of India, under its Agricultural Technology Management Agency scheme. In September 2023, the community radio station relocated to Naugaon in Alwar district, Rajasthan. The radio station broadcasts in parts of Mewat in Haryana and parts of Alwar in Rajasthan, reaching about 300 villages.
The Delhi–Mumbai Expressway is a 1,350 km long, 8-lane wide under-construction access-controlled expressway connecting India's national capital New Delhi to its financial capital Mumbai. The foundation stone for the project was laid by union minister Nitin Gadkari in the presence of Sushma Swaraj and Arun Jaitley on 8 March 2019 and is inaugurated by PM Modi. The total project value including the land acquisition cost is around ₹1,00,000 crores . , It is expected to be completed by the October 2025.
The National Education Mission is an overarching programme for the school education sector extending from pre-school to class 12, launched in 2018. It was allocated a budget of ₹385.72 billion (US$4.6 billion) in the 2019 Interim Union Budget of India. The stated mission comprises four schemes, namely Saakshar Bharat, Sarva Shiksha Abhiyan, Rashtriya Madhyamik Shiksha Abhiyan and the Centrally Sponsored Scheme on Teacher Education (CSSTE). Tain is a village located in the tehsil of Nuh in the Nuh district of the state of Haryana, India. The village was in the news when Nokia decided to develop 500 smart villages in India. As per the company, the project will focus on the five key areas of health, education, livelihood, governance and finance. Nina Vaskunlahti, Ambassador of Finland, inaugurated Tain village. It was planned that village will serve as hubs which will host a digital centre with telecom connectivity to provide ICT-enabled, primary services across each of the five pillars to rural community.
The Government of India launched the Gareeb Kalyan Rojgar Abhiyaan (GKRA) initiative to tackle the impact of COVID-19 on shramik (migrant) workers in India. It is a rural public works scheme which was launched on 20 June 2020 with an initial funding of ₹50,000 crore. GKRA aims to give 125 days of employment to 670,000 migrant workers, approximately two-thirds of the total migrant labourer force that has gone back to rural areas. The scheme covers 116 districts in six states, Bihar, Uttar Pradesh, Madhya Pradesh, Rajasthan, Odisha and Jharkhand. The scheme is a joint effort by 12 different Ministries(Department of rural development, Department of Drinking water and sanitation, Ministry of Road Transport and Highway, Ministry of Panchayati Raj, Department of Telecommunication, Department of New and Renewable Energy, Ministry of Railways, Minisiry of Mines, Department of Agricultural Research and Education, Ministry of Environment, Forest and Climate Change, Ministry of Petroleum, Ministry of Defence) /Departments and covers 25 categories of works/ activities. Under the scheme, a provision has been made to provide employment to migrant laborers who have left work from different states in the village itself. The laborers will be given work in the development schemes run by the Central and State Government in the village and they will also get work according to their interest and skills.
Nand Ghar is a social initiative of the Anil Agarwal Foundation, the philanthropic arm of the Vedanta Group. The project aims to transform the lives of 7 crore children and 2 crore women across the 13.7 Lakh Anganwadi centres by providing online education, primary healthcare, nutritional requirements and economically skill training for women across India. Project Nand Ghar modernises Anganwadis functioning under the Integrated Child Development Scheme (ICDS), this includes infrastructural improvements.
The Sterling One Foundation (SOF) is a private foundation founded in 2018. It has its headquarters in Nigeria but operates across Africa. The foundation is an initiative of the Sterling Bank, though operates as an independent body with its own structure and board of trustee. In 2022, it partnered with the United Nations in Nigeria to host the 2023 Africa Social Impact Summit in Lagos, Nigeria. It has also collaborated with the Deputy British High Commissioner to Nigeria to launch the 2023 edition of the 16 Days of Activism Against Gender-Based Violence in Nigeria.
