Thorns is a Norwegian black metal band that formed in 1989 and was part of the early Norwegian black metal scene. They made two highly influential demos in the early 1990s, Grymyrk and Trøndertun, but have only released one full-length album.
Bård Guldvik "Faust" Eithun is a Norwegian drummer and convicted murderer. He is best known for his work with early black metal band Emperor, especially on the releases As the Shadows Rise and In the Nightside Eclipse, and the murder of Magne Andreassen. He also writes lyrics for other bands, including Zyklon. In 2013, it was announced that Faust would return to Emperor as drummer for the 20th-anniversary tour of In the Nightside Eclipse in the summer of 2014.
