Puch Hem (born 3 May 1999) is a Cambodian swimmer. [1] He competed in the men's 50 metre freestyle at the 2020 Summer Olympics. [2]
Hem Kiry is a Cambodian former swimmer, who specialized in sprint freestyle events. He is a two-time Olympian, and served twice as Cambodia's flag bearer in the opening ceremony. He also held a Cambodian record of 26.48 in the 50 m freestyle from the Southeast Asian Games. Hem is currently working as a swimming coach for the Cambodia national team.
Hassan Yazdani Charati is an Iranian freestyle wrestler. Yazdani is an Olympic and World Champion in freestyle wrestling in two weight categories. He became Olympic champion in the 74kg category at the 2016 Summer Olympics after defeating Russian wrestler Aniuar Geduev in the final. The following year he became World Champion at the 2017 World Wrestling Championships in the Men's freestyle 86 kg category. He won his second world title at the 2019 World Wrestling Championships in Kazakhstan and third at the 2021 World Wrestling Championships in Norway.
Santisouk Inthavong is a Laotian backstroke and freestyle swimmer. He competed in the men's 50 metre freestyle event at the 2016 Summer Olympics, where he ranked 69th with a time of 26.54 seconds, a national record. He did not advance to the semifinals.
Nina Hemmer is a German freestyle wrestler. She competed at the 2016 Summer Olympics in Rio de Janeiro in the women's freestyle 53 kg division. She finished in 14th place after losing to Zhong Xuechun of China in the first round. In 2021, she won the silver medal in the women's 55 kg event at the 2021 World Wrestling Championships held in Oslo, Norway.
Djibouti competed at the 2020 Summer Olympics in Tokyo. Originally scheduled to take place from 24 July to 9 August 2020, the Games were postponed to 23 July to 8 August 2021, because of the COVID-19 pandemic. This was the nation's ninth appearance at the Summer Olympics; Djibouti did not field any athletes at the 2004 Summer Olympics in Athens. The delegation consisted of four athletes, three men and one women, competing in five events across three sports. Two athletes participated in the judo and swimming tournaments: Aden-Alexandre Houssein and Houssein Gaber Ibrahim. Athlete Ayanleh Souleiman, a returning competitor from the 2016 Rio Olympics competed in the men's 800 metres and 1500 metres events. Souhra Ali Mohamed, who had previously participated in the 2012 Summer Olympics competed in the women's 1500 metres event. Houssein lead the Djiboutian squad as the flagbearer in the opening ceremony with Souhra being the flagbearer for the closing ceremony.

For the first time, in an effort to promote gender equality, two flagbearers, one male and one female were allowed at the Olympics. Furgeson and Kinono lead the Marshall Islands squad as the flagbearers in the opening ceremony. The Marshall Islands, however, has yet to win its first ever Olympic medal.
