Dane Fife is an American former college basketball player and assistant coach. Fife is the former head coach of the Indiana University–Purdue University Fort Wayne (IPFW) Mastodons men's basketball team and a former college assistant coach at Michigan State University under Tom Izzo for ten years before leaving to become an assistant coach at his alma mater, Indiana University. He was let go by Indiana after one season.

Doug Schreiber is an American baseball coach and former second baseman. He is the current head baseball coach of the Purdue Fort Wayne Mastodons. Schreiber played college baseball at Purdue University. He was the head baseball coach at Purdue University from 1999 to 2016, where he posted a 485–489 record. From 2004 to 2006, Purdue qualified for three consecutive Big Ten baseball tournaments. His 2006 team went 31–27, and defeated #2 North Carolina. In 2001, Purdue finished second in the Big Ten Conference, for its best finish in over 30 years. The 2001 team upset #1 ranked Rice to start the season.

Robert Fitzroy Pierce is an American baseball coach and former player. He most recently served as head coach of the Purdue University Fort Wayne from the 2009 season to 2019. He played at UNLV, Central Arizona, and New Mexico State. With Central Arizona, he played in the 1999 JUCO World Series. He began his coaching career as an assistant with Central Arizona for one season before becoming an assistant at Arkansas–Little Rock. Two seasons later, he became head coach at NCAA Division II Metro State before accepting the same job at IPFW. On July 3, 2019, Pierce stepped down as the head coach at Purdue Fort Wayne.

The Mastodons, led by third-year head coach Jon Coffman, played their home games at the Gates Sports Center and the Allen County War Memorial Coliseum as members of The Summit League. They finished the season 20–13, 8–8 in Summit League play to finish in a three-way tie for fourth place. They defeated the number 3 ranked Indians Hoosiers 71-68 in overtime. They lost in the quarterfinals of the Summit League tournament to Omaha. They were invited to the CollegeInsider.com Tournament where they defeated Ball State in the first round and received a second round bye before losing in the quarterfinals to Texas A&M–Corpus Christi.
