Pushpdeep Bhardwaj is an Indian film director and writer. [1] [2] [3] He is mainly known for his work in Hindi Film Industry. [4] [5] [6] He made his directing debut with his film Jalebi starring Rhea Chakraborty, Varun Mitra and Digangana Suryavanshi. [7] [8]

Early life

Bhardwaj was born in Delhi. [9] He is a graduate from National Institute of Fashion Technology. [2] After completing his study in NIFT, he started the job of visual merchandising in Reliance but he left the job for films. [2] Later he contributed in several acting workshops as an instructor. [2] He was also associated with theatre in Delhi. [2]

Career

In his early days, Bhardwaj directed and acted in various short films. [2]

In 2018, He made his debut as a director and writer in Hindi Film Industry with the musical romantic drama film Jalebi produced by Vishesh Films. [10] [11]

In 2020, he wrote the additional dialogues of the Mahesh Bhatt directed action thriller film Sadak 2. [12]

In 2022, Bhardwaj written and directed the web-series Ranjish He Sahi. [13] [14]

Sadak (transl. Road) is a 1991 Indian Hindi-language romantic thriller film directed by Mahesh Bhatt. It stars Sanjay Dutt and Pooja Bhatt. The film is one of the highest-grossing movies of the year 1991. The film is also fondly remembered for the late Sadashiv Amrapurkar's award-winning performance as the film's villain, Maharani. The film was inspired by the 1976 American movie Taxi Driver. This film was remade in Tamil as Appu (2000). A sequel, Sadak 2, was released on 28 August 2020 in Disney+ Hotstar.

<i>Sadak 2</i> 2020 film by Mahesh Bhatt

Sadak 2 is a 2020 Indian Hindi-language action thriller road film directed by Mahesh Bhatt and produced by Fox Star Studios and Mukesh Bhatt under their banner Vishesh Films. A sequel to the 1991 film Sadak, it stars Sanjay Dutt alongside Alia Bhatt and Aditya Roy Kapur in the lead roles. Jisshu Sengupta, Gulshan Grover, Makrand Deshpande, Priyanka Bose and others play supporting roles, while Pooja Bhatt makes a special appearance. The film marks Mahesh Bhatt's return as a director after 20 years. The film's story takes place twenty-nine years after the events of its predecessor.

Ranjish Hi Sahi is an 2022 Indian Hindi-language webseries on Voot, written and directed by Pushpdeep Bhardwaj. It stars Tahir Raj Bhasin, Amala Paul, Amrita Puri and Zarina Wahab.
