Qaroqazon (Russian : Кароказон; Tajik : Қароқазон) is a village in Sughd Region, northern Tajikistan. [1] It is part of the jamoat Mehrobod (formerly: Qamishqurghon) in Asht District. [2]
Tajikistan, officially the Republic of Tajikistan, is a landlocked country in Central Asia. Dushanbe is the capital and most populous city. Panjakent or Penjikent is a city in the Sughd province of Tajikistan on the river Zeravshan, with a population of 52,500. It was once an ancient town in Sogdiana. The ruins of the old town are on the outskirts of the modern city. The Sarazm Important Bird Area lies downstream of the city on the tugay-vegetated floodplain of the river.
Tursunzoda is a city in western Tajikistan, known for its aluminium smelting plant TadAZ. It is located 60 km west of Dushanbe, near the border with Uzbekistan. It is near several rivers, Shirkent and Karatag immediately to the west and east of the city, and Kofarnihon further east. Its population is estimated at 55,700 for the city proper and 298,800 for the city with the outlying communities (2020). Its population was given as 40,600 in the 1989 census, falling to 39,000 in 2000, and estimated at 37,000 in 2006.
Kuhistoni Mastchoh District or Nohiya-i Kuhistoni Mastchoh, also known as the Gorno-Matchinsky Region is a district in Sughd Region, Tajikistan. The capital of district is the village of Mehron. The population of the district is 25,400.
Shahrinav District is a district in Tajikistan, one of the Districts of Republican Subordination. It lies between Tajikistan's capital Dushanbe and Uzbekistan. The Shahrinav District borders on the city of Tursunzoda in the west, the city of Hisor in the east, and Rudaki District in the south. It is delimited by the Gissar Range in the north and is part of the fertile Gissar Valley. Its capital is Shahrinav, a village 30 km west of Dushanbe. The population of the district is 123,000.

Dardar is a village and jamoat in Ayni District in Sughd Region in north-west Tajikistan, not far from the border with Uzbekistan. It is situated on the northern bank of the Zeravshan, along Highway A377, to the northwest of Ayni on the road to Urmetan. The jamoat has a total population of 7,562 (2015). It consists of 6 villages, including Dardar, Iskodar, Khayrobod and Zerobod. Approaching the town the "wide ivan of a mosque dating from the 19th century can be seen from the road".
