Qirjako Qirko (born on 1 June 1961 [1] is an Albanian diplomat and former attorney. [1] Until July 2023 he served as the ambassador of the Republic of Albania to the United Kingdom of Great Britain and Northern Ireland (since 26 August 2016), [1] [2] and the Republic of Ireland (since 2018). [1] Qirko was a permanent representative of Albania to the International Maritime organisation. [3]
Appearing before the Home Affairs Select Committee of the United Kingdom's House of Commons in December 2022,Qirko called for an end to a “campaign of discrimination”and warned against reinforcing negative stereotypes about Albanians after the British government discussed a rise in English Channel migrant crossings with Home Secretary Suella Braverman Albanian highlighting Albanian criminals during a debate. He described the recent Albanian migrants as economic migrants and Albania as a safe country. [4]

In addition,the country has signed the General Agreement on Tariffs and Trade (GATT) and the Multilateral Investment Guarantee Agency Agreement (MIGA). The People's Socialist Republic of Albania joined the United Nations on 14 December 1955,and has participated in several UN peacekeeping operations. The current Representative of Albania in the UN is Mr. Ferit Hoxha. Albania is a non-permanent member of the 15-country UN Security Council for the two-year term (2022–2023).

Zef Mazi is an Albanian diplomat,ambassador,who has served as Albania's Chief Negotiator with the European Union during 2020-2022. He previously served as Special Assistant to the Director General for Strategy at the International Atomic Energy Agency (IAEA) from 2011 to 2018,where he has been in charge for Agency-wide strategy formulation,planning and implementation,as well as risk-management and knowledge management.
