Queeny Sabobo

Queeny T. Sabobo is a Filipina softball player (as short stop and outfielder). Born and raised in Negros Occidental, Sabodo was part of the Adamson University Falcons women's softball team who swept 5 championships and a 73-game winning run in the UAAP softball tournament. [1]

Sabodo was awarded Rookie of the Year on her first season, and became Season's and Finals MVP during her final year in the UAAP. [2] She was also awarded the Most Home Runs, Most Runs Batted In, and Best Slugger awards in the same tournament.

She represented the country in the 2015 Southeast Asian Games where they won a gold medal in women's softball. [3]

Recently, Sabodo was awarded as co-Athlete of the Year of the UAAP Season 78, alongside Alyssa Valdez and Jessie Lacuna of Ateneo and Ian Lariba of La Salle. [4]

Michele Theresa Imperial Gumabao is a Filipino volleyball player and beauty pageant titleholder. She is currently signed to the Creamline Cool Smashers of the Premier Volleyball League (PVL), and has previously played for teams in the Philippine Super Liga (PSL). She was named "Best opposite spiker" five times in her professional career and was the Finals MVP in the 2016 Shakey's V-League Reinforced Conference.

Kim Alano Fajardo is a Filipino volleyball athlete. She was the team captain of the De La Salle University women's volleyball team for Season 78 and 79.

The UAAP Season 78 high school volleyball tournament started on August 22, 2015. The tournament venue is the Adamson University Gym in San Marcelino St., Ermita, Manila. Adamson is the tournament host. The number of participating schools in the boys' and girls' tournaments both increased to seven. Far Eastern University fielded boys' and girls' volleyball teams beginning season 77. Since there are now seven participating schools, the tournaments have a Final Four format. The UAAP Board decided to move the high school volleyball tournaments from 2nd semester to 1st semester due to the basketball juniors tournament being moved from the 1st semester to 2nd semester.

With just seven events in Season 84, the collegiate league will be bringing back the full athletic calendar of events for Season 85.

Ana Maria Santiago, also known as Ana Santiago, is a Filipina softball coach for the Adamson Lady Falcons, who won the last ten UAAP Softball Championships. She is arguably the greatest active head coach in the University Athletic Association of the Philippines as Adamson won 15 titles under her belt. In Season 80 opening rites, the collegiate league considered her one of the "UAAP greats," representing Adamson along with her player Queeny Sabobo and other top athletes from seven other UAAP member schools.
