<i>Oriyardori Asal</i> 2011 film

Oriyardori Asal is a 2011 Indian Tulu language film directed by H. S. Rajashekar and starring Likith Shetty, Ramya Barna, Naveen D Padil, Aravind Bolar and Rekha Das in the lead roles. It is the most successful Tulu film till date. The film is based on the famous Tulu comedy drama with the same title, written by Vijayakumar Kodialbail. He also wrote the story, screenplay, dialogue and lyrics for the film.

Tulu cinema, also known as Coastalwood, is a part of Indian cinema. The Tulu film industry produces five to seven films annually. The first Tulu film was Enna Thangadi released in 1971. Earlier, these films were released in theatres across the Tulu Nadu region. Tulu film industry has grown to such an extent that films are being released simultaneously in Mangalore, Udupi, Mumbai, Bangalore and Middle East. The critically acclaimed Tulu film Suddha won the award for the best Indian Film at the Osian's Cinefan Festival of Asian and Arab Cinema held in New Delhi in 2006. In 2011, the Tulu film Industry got a second lease of life with the release of the film Oriyardori Asal. The film turned out to be the biggest hit in Tulu film history to date. Chaali Polilu is the longest running film in Tulu film industry. This movie is the highest-grossing film in the Tulu film industry. It has successfully completed 470 days at PVR Cinemas in Mangalore.

Nirel (transl. Shadow) is a Tulu-language film directed by Ranjith Bajpe and produced jointly by Shodhan Prasad and San Poojary, starring Anoop Sagar, Varuna Shetty, Deepthi, Sachin Padil, Deepak Paladka. This will be the first film produced overseas and shot completely in Gulf Region. The film is based on the Kannada Script "Nadu Naduve" by Karthik Gowda and later converted to Tulu by Ranjith Bajpe. Karthik Gowda also wrote the screenplay for the movie, and dialogues written by Ranjith Bajpe. Cast for the movie was totally selected by an audition at Fortune Grand Hotel Dubai. The people behind Nirel is a group of four friends, San Poojary, Ranjith Bajpe, Rajneesh Amin and Sachin Padil.

Telikeda Bolli is a 2012 Tulu comedy film directed by P. H. Vishwanath and written by Devadas Kapikad. The film stars Arjun Kapikad and Ashrita Shetty in the lead roles along with Devadas Kapikad Naveen D Padil, Aravind Bolar, Gopinath Bhat, Bhojaraj Vamanjoor, and Karnoor Mohan Rai. The movie, produced by Sudhir Kamath and Sharmila Kapikad under the banner of Central Cinemas, is released simultaneously at Mangalore, Udupi, Karkala, Belthangady and Moodabidri on 6 December 2012.

Chaali Polilu is a Tulu language film directed by Virendra Shetty Kavoor starring Devadas Kapikad, Naveen D Padil and Bhojaraj Vamanjoor in lead roles. Chaali Polilu is produced under the banner of Jayakirana films by Prakash Pandeshwar. The film has shared valuable messages to society. It reflects upon social evils in society and while providing an ample amount of entertainment to the audience. It is the highest grossing Tulu film of all time.

Kadala Mage is a 2006 Indian Tulu-language romantic drama film directed by Praveen Jain and starring Bhavya, Diganth, Soorya, and Sarita Jain in the lead roles. The film was a box office success and won the Karnataka State Film Award for Best Regional Film.

Arjun Kapikad is an Indian actor and singer, who appears in Tulu films and Kannada film industries. He made his acting debut with the 2012 movie, Telikeda Bolli. He is a frequent collaborater with his father Devadas Kapikad.

Banger Patler is a 1993 Tulu-language romantic drama film directed by Dr. Richard Castelino and starring Vaman Raj in the titular role and Sudha Rani. Devadas Kapikad is a Tulu film and theatre actor, director, writer, producer, lyricist and singer. He has also acted in some Kannada films. He owns a drama troupe called Cha-parka.

Dhand is a Tulu film directed by Ranjith Bajpe and produced by Shodhan Prasad under the banner of Sandhya Creations. It stars Arjun Kapikad, Sandeep Shetty, Anoop Sagar, Deepak Paladka, Gopinath Bhat, Umesh Mijar, Ranjan Boloor, Shilpa Suvarna, Anvitha Sagar, and Subhash Bangera in the lead roles.

<i>Chandi Kori</i> 2015 Indian film

Chandi Kori is a 2015 Indian Tulu film directed by Devadas Kapikad also appearing in a supporting role. Arjun Kapikad and Karishma Amin star in lead roles, and Naveen D. Padil, Bhojaraj Vamanjoor, Gopinath Bhat and Aravind Bolar feature in supporting roles. The film successfully completed 100 days in Mangalore and Udupi. The film was produced by Sharmila Kapikad and Sachin Sunder.

Naveen D. Padil is an Indian theatre and film actor who has performed in over a thousand plays mostly in Tulu language. Known widely in the circles of Tulu theatre from his acting performances as a "Master of Comedy and Tragedy", he is called "Kusalda Arase". He is known mainly for his portrayal of comical characters. Padil along with Devadas Kapikad and Aravind Bolar formed a famous trio that appeared in Tulu comedy plays during the 1990s and early 2000s.

Bhojaraj Vamanjoor is an Indian actor, who predominantly works in Tulu theatre and Tulu film industry. Vamanjoor is also a Yakshagana Artist. He is one of the active members of the Tulu drama troupe "Cha Parka Kalavidher Kudla" along with Devadas Kapikad, Naveen D. Padil and Aravind Bolar. He can be seen in most Tulu plays directed by Devadas Kapikad.
