RIGOL Technologies, or RIGOL, is a Chinese manufacturer of electronic test equipment. The company has over 500 employees and more than 493 patents. [3] Currently, it has offices in Cleveland, Ohio; Beaverton, Oregon; Munich, Germany; in addition to its headquarters in Beijing, China. History

RIGOL was founded in Beijing in 1998 and released its first product, a high-performance virtual digital storage oscilloscope, in May 1999. [1]

In 2018 the company released the new RSA5000 real-time spectrum analyzer and the MSO7000, as well as MSO5000 series, based on the new ASIC based Ultravision-II platform. [5]

An oscilloscope is a type of electronic test instrument that graphically displays varying voltages of one or more signals as a function of time. The main purpose is capture information on electrical signals for debugging, analysis, or characterization. The displayed waveform can then be analyzed for properties such as amplitude, frequency, rise time, time interval, distortion, and others. Originally, calculation of these values required manually measuring the waveform against the scales built into the screen of the instrument. Modern digital instruments may calculate and display these properties directly.

PicoScope is primarily used to view and analyze real-time signals from PicoScope oscilloscopes and data loggers. PicoScope software enables analysis using FFT, a spectrum analyser, voltage-based triggers, and the ability to save/load waveforms to disk. PicoScope is compatible with parallel port oscilloscopes and the newer USB oscilloscopes.
