Rachael Dadd is an English folk and lo-fi musician based in Bristol, England. She is currently signed to French independent label Talitres. [1]
Dadd has played at a variety of UK music festivals including Glastonbury, End of the Road, Green Man and Truck. She has also toured with Alessi's Ark, Francois and the Atlas Mountains, This Is The Kit and Rozi Plain. [1]
Dadd has played alongside a wide range of notable UK bands and artists including Laura Marling, Sons of Noel and Adrian, and Curly Hair. [2] In February 2009 and again in July 2009, she toured the UK with Alessi's Ark. [3] In recent years, she has played at Glastonbury Festival every year. [4]
She regularly collaborates with This Is the Kit frontwoman Kate Stables, with whom she performed in the band Whalebone Polly. Additionally she performs alongside Wig Smith as The Hand and with Rozi Plain. [5] She also performs with her husband, Japanese musician ad performance artist ICHI. [6] Multi-instrumentalist Emma Gatrill often performs as a member of Dadd's band. The two announced an eight date tour of Japan for April 2018. [7]
Dadd has received ongoing support from BBC Bristol and has also been played on Gideon Coe's show on BBC 6 Music. [8]
Her 2014 album We Resonate was released through French independent record label Talitres. [9]
Dadd provided backing vocals on Jinnwoo's 2016 release, Strangers Bring Me No Light.
Dadd graduated from art school with first class honours. She is still a practising and exhibiting artist, making her own limited edition record sleeves and collaborating with her sister, Betsy Dadd, who is an animator and an RCA graduate. [1]

The collective includes the bands Sons of Noel and Adrian, The Leisure Society, Kristin McClement, The Climbers, The Miserable Rich, Shoreline and many more. They also run a record label, Willkommen Records, and put on monthly gigs in Brighton, England. The bands share many members and often work collectively.

John E Vistic is the founder of The Ark Charity Album series Vols.1 and 2. compiling 47 Bristol acts giving their work for the Quartet Charity Covid Appeal The Ark Vol. 1 contains a cover version by John E Vistic of the Portishead song, "Glorybox" recorded in the same studio as Portishead's original. John E Vistic is also lead guitarist with James Ray and the Blackhearted Riders, most recently touring and playing on their album Broken Glass & Bullet Holes (2018). James Ray is known for his work with Gang War and The Sisters of Mercy.

Bizu has garnered mainstream radio support from BBC Radio 1's Annie Mac and Phil Taggart and BBC Radio 1Xtra's Trevor Nelson. She has supported Coldplay, Sam Smith, Rudimental, and Foxes on their latest UK tours. In November 2015, Bizu was shortlisted for a Brit Critics' Choice award and longlisted for BBC's Sound of... 2016. She won the BBC Music Introducing Award at the 2016 ceremony. On 25 June 2016, Bizu performed on the Park Stage at the Glastonbury Festival.
