He is the 1994 Olympic champion, the 1993 World bronze medalist, the 1997 European champion, the 1995–96 Champions Series Final champion, a four-time Russian national champion, and the 1992 Soviet national champion.

He is the 1984 and 1988 Olympic silver medallist, 1987 World champion and eight-time (1981–88) Canadian national champion. John Patrick Coughlin was an American pair skater. With Caydee Denney, he was the 2012 Four Continents silver medalist and 2012 U.S. national champion. With previous partner Caitlin Yankowskas, he was the 2011 U.S. champion. Coughlin died by suicide, one day after the United States Center for SafeSport announced he would face an interim temporary suspension over unspecified allegations.

Shin Yea-ji is a South Korean figure skating coach and choreographer and former competitive figure skater. She is the 2007 South Korean national silver medalist. She competed for two seasons on the Junior Grand Prix circuit, and placed fourth at the 2007 Winter Universiade. Her highest placement at an ISU Championship was 8th at the 2007 World Junior Championships.

Representing France with her former skating partner, Morgan Ciprès, she is the 2019 European Champion, the 2018 World bronze medallist, the 2017 European bronze medallist, the 2018 Grand Prix Final champion, and a six-time French national champion. They have also won medals in Grand Prix and Challenger Series competitions. James and Ciprès competed at the 2014 and 2018 Winter Olympics.

Choi Hyung-kyung is a former South Korean competitive figure skater. She is the 1995 South Korean National champion and 1997 South Korean National silver medalist. She also competed at two World Championships. Choi was coached by Shin Hea-sook.
