Rahul Subhash Kul is a politician from Rahu, Daund, Pune Maharashtra. He has been elected in Maharashtra Legislative Assembly election in 2014 from Daund constituency as candidate of Rashtriya Samaj Paksha. In 2019 assembly election he again won as BJP candidate defeating rival NCP's Ramesh Thorat. His late father Subhash Kul was three time MLA from Daund while his mother Ranjana Kul is one time MLA from Daund. He succeeded his mother in 2014 General election defeating NCP's Ramesh Thorat. Prabodhankar Govindram Shurnar from Nanded has been working as a social worker for their society since 1994. They met Mahadev Jankar at a program in Mumbai. After that, Mahadev Jankar started work in Marathwada with the cooperation of Govindram Shurnar. Mahadev Jankar was a BSP Candidate of the Lok Sabha election in 1998 from Nanded and received approximately 20,000 votes. Mr. Govindram was responsible person for that election.

Ganesh Naik is an Indian politician. He is the Bhartiya Janta Party member of the Maharashtra Legislative Assembly who represented Belapur in the past, and was the Thane Guardian Minister in the state government. He was the minister of Labour, excise and environment in the previous government.

The 2019 Maharashtra Legislative Assembly election was held on 21 October 2019 to elect all 288 members of the state's Legislative Assembly. After a 61.4% turnout in the election, the ruling National Democratic Alliance (NDA) of the Bharatiya Janata Party (BJP) and Shiv Sena (SHS) won a majority. Following differences over the government formation, the alliance was dissolved, precipitating a political crisis. Since a council of ministers had not been formed after no party could manage to form the government, President's rule was imposed in the state. On 23 November 2019, Devendra Fadnavis was sworn in as the Chief Minister and Ajit Pawar was sworn in as Deputy Chief Minister. However both of them resigned on 26 November 2019 before the floor test and on 28 November 2019, Shiv Sena, NCP, and Congress formed the government under a new alliance Maha Vikas Aghadi (MVA), with Uddhav Thackeray as the Chief Minister. Subsequently, Uddhav Thackeray had to resign due to the Shiv Sena being split which was led by Eknath Shinde. Eknath Shinde is currently the Chief Minister with a BJP-Shiv Sena alliance with BJP's Devendra Fadnavis as the deputy Chief Minister.

The 2019 Indian general election in Maharashtra held in April 2019. These were held for 48 seats in 4 phases; 11 April, 18 April, 23 April and 29 April 2019.

A political crisis in the Indian state of Maharashtra occurred on 21 October 2019 after the declaration of results of the 2019 legislative assembly election over the formation of a new state government. The incumbent Bharatiya Janata Party Shiv Sena alliance crossed the majority of 145 seats needed in the assembly by winning a total of 161 seats in the alliance. Individually BJP won 105 and SHS won 56 seats. The Opposition INC-NCP Alliance with 106 seats did not reach the majority mark. Individually INC won 44 and NCP won 54 seats.

The Maha Vikas Aghadi or Maharashtra Vikas Aghadi, abbreviated as MVA, is a state-level political coalition formed after the 2019 Maharashtra Legislative Assembly election under the leadership of Uddhav Thackeray of Shiv Sena, Sharad Pawar of the NCP and Sonia Gandhi of the INC, along with the support from the Samajwadi Party, PWPI, Prahar Janshakti Party and several other political parties including Independent MLAs.

The 2022 Maharashtra political crisis began on 21 June 2022 in the Indian state of Maharashtra when Eknath Shinde, a senior Shiv Sena leader, along with several other MLAs of the Maha Vikas Aghadi (MVA) coalition moved to Surat in BJP governed Gujarat throwing the coalition into a crisis. The group later moved to Guwahati in another BJP governed state Assam. Shiv Sena leader Sanjay Raut, accused BJP for causing the revolt within Shiv Sena and attempting to topple the MVA coalition government, which was implicitly mentioned later in a remark by BJP's Sushil Modi. On 29 June, Uddhav Thackeray, Chief Minister of Maharashtra, resigned from the post as well as a MLC member while addressing live on social media ahead of no-confidence motion on 29 June 2022. The resignation of Thackeray saw the cancellation of the floor test, with Shinde taking stake of the government as the Chief Minister and Devendra Fadnavis as the Deputy Chief Minister on 30 June.
