The film stars Rajkumar, Bharathi, Udaykumar, Narasimharaju and Dinesh. The film has musical score by G. K. Venkatesh. [1] Rajkumar plays dual roles in the movie. S.K.Bhagwan had revealed that though he was the actual director of the movie, the credits were jointly given to him and Narasimha Murthy who was the chief financier of the movie. [2] The movie was dubbed in Tamil as Malaikotai Marmam. [3]

Dorai–Bhagavan were an Indian filmmaking duo consisting of directors B. Dorai Raj and S. K. Bhagavan, active mainly in Kannada cinema. They directed fifty films, most of which starred Rajkumar and were highly successful at box-office. Twenty-three of those films were based on novels. Bhagavan has been principal of Adarsha Film Institute, Bangalore.
