Rajesh Murugesan (born 14 May 1988) is an Indian music composer, best known for his compositions in Malayalam cinema for films like Neram and Premam . [1] [2]
Murugesan was born in Nagercoil and he completed his schooling at Cochin Refineries School, Ambalamugal, while graduating with a Degree from SAE International College, Chennai in 2008. [3] He married actress Aishwarya Raghavan on 22 January 2020.[ citation needed ]
Rajesh made his debut as a music director in Neram a Tamil - Malayalam bilingual film which was directed by Alphonse Putharen and released in 2013. The song Pistah also featured as IPL promo song for the year 2016. [4]

Action Hero Biju is a 2016 Indian Malayalam-language police procedural comedy film directed by Abrid Shine. The film stars Nivin Pauly, Anu Emmanuel, Saiju Kurup, Joju George, Alexander Prasanth, Kalabhavan Prajod, Rony David and Sohan Seenulal. Premam is the soundtrack album for the 2015 Malayalam-Tamil film of the same name directed by Alphonse Puthren and starring Nivin Pauly and Sai Pallavi. The original soundtrack and background score were composed by Rajesh Murugesan, who had collaborated with Puthren in the film Neram (2013). Shabareesh Varma, beside singing, wrote the lyrics for eight of the nine songs. One song "Rockaankuthu" which had lyrics written by Pradeep Palarr was sung by Tamil film composer Anirudh Ravichander. The soundtrack album was released by the record label Muzik 247 on 14 February 2015 and topped the charts, with songs "Aaluva Puzha" and "Malare" became instant hits. The album was listed as the Best Malayalam Music Album of the year by Apple Music.
