The 1st IIFA Utsavam ceremony honouring the winners and nominees of the best of South Indian cinema in 2015 was an event held on 24 and 25 January 2016 at the Gachibowli Athletic Stadium, Hyderabad. Marking the inaugural event of the IIFA Utsavam, it recognised the best work from the four industries during the period from late 2014 to late 2015 and awarded prizes to performers and technicians from the Tamil, Telugu, Malayalam and Kannada languages. The IIFA Utsavam rewards the artistic and technical achievements of the South Indian film industry. The ceremony is organised by Wizcraft International, the team behind the IIFA Awards, and represents Telugu cinema, Tamil cinema, Malayalam cinema and Kannada cinema.

The 2nd IIFA Utsavam ceremony honouring the winners and nominees of the best of South Indian cinema in 2016 was an event held on 28 and 29 March 2017 at the Hyderabad, Telangana, India. The event, which is the second edition of the IIFA Utsavam, recognises the best work from the four industries during the year 2016 and awarded prizes to performers and technicians from the Tamil, Telugu, Malayalam and Kannada languages.

The 3rd IIFA Utsavam is an upcoming awards event that is scheduled to take place at the Etihad Arena, Yas Island in Abu Dhabi, United Arab Emirates, on 6–7 September 2024. On the first day, that is, 6 September 2024, best films and performances from Tamil and Malayalam cinema released in 2023 will be awarded and honoured. Best films and performances from Telugu and Kannada cinema released in 2023 will be awarded and honoured on the following day, that is, 7 September 2024. Rana Daggubati and Teja Sajja will host the Telugu segment. Akul Balaji and Vijay Raghavendra will host the Kannada segment. Pearle Maaney and Sudev Nair will host the Malayalam and Tamil segments together. The nominations were announced on 21 August 2024.
