Allu Sirish (born 30 May 1987) is an Indian actor who works predominantly in Telugu films. He is the brother of leading Telugu cinema actor Allu Arjun. He debuted as a lead actor with Gouravam (2013) and later went to appear in films such as Kotha Janta (2014), Srirastu Subhamastu (2016), Okka Kshanam (2017) and Urvasivo Rakshasivo (2022).

Career−

Sirish made his lead debut with the Telugu–Tamil bilingual film Gouravam (2013) opposite Yami Gautam, produced by Prakash Raj and directed by Radha Mohan. [2] Though a commercial failure, it managed to have a fair share of reviews from critics for its theme. Kotha Janta (2014), a romantic comedy directed by Maruthi was about two different minded co-workers falling in love and the drama that ensues. [3] It was the 3rd most watched Telugu movie of the year through satellite screening, which is quite a feat for a small budget film. [4] Srirasthu Subhamastu (2016), directed by Parasuram, was a love story with family drama. [5] The film got positive talk from morning shows. It was a hit at the box office and went on to collect 20.2 crores during its run. [6] He was announced as the second lead opposite Mohanlal in 1971: Beyond Borders (2017), directed by Major Ravi, making this his debut in Malayalam. [7] He received good reviews from Behindwoods and Kochi times stating that "Sirish is decent and satisfactory". [8] [9] In 2017, he starred in the film Okka Kshanam , which was a sci-fi thriller based on the concept of parallel lives. [10] The film was critically acclaimed. [11] [12] In 2019, He starred in the film ABCD – American Born Confused Desi , which was a Telugu remake of the Malayalam film with the same name, starring Dulquer Salmaan. The film was a story of a rich spoilt brat who gets kicked out of his house and finds it hard to reform. He was admired for his performance. [13]

He was given the "Crossover Star of the Year" award at the Lulu Fashion Awards in 2019 for his Malayalam entry. [14]

His next appearance was in 2022, in the movie Oorvasivo Rakshasivo, opposite to Anu Emmanuel. [15]

It is the fourth installment in the Major Mahadevan film series, with Mohanlal reprising his double role as Colonel Mahadevan and a new character, Major Sahadevan. It also features Arunoday Singh and Allu Sirish. The film, set in two time periods, is based on the Indo-Pakistani War of 1971 and act as both prequel and follow-up to the series. Mohanlal's and Sirish's characters were modeled on Hoshiar Singh Dahiya and Arun Khetarpal, both of whom were awarded the Param Vir Chakra for their roles in the 1971 Indo-Pakistani War.

ABCD: American Born Confused Desi is an Indian Telugu-language comedy drama film directed by Sanjeev Reddy and produced by Madhura Sreedhar Reddy. The film stars Allu Sirish and Rukshar Dhillon. The phrase American-Born Confused Desi describes Indians born in America, who have difficulty in balancing their ethnic culture within the majority non-Indian American culture. The film is a remake of the Malayalam film of the same name starring Dulquer Salmaan and was released on 17 May 2019.

SIIMA Award for Best Male Debut – Telugu is presented by Vibri media group as part of its annual South Indian International Movie Awards, for the best acting done by an actor in a leading role in his debut Telugu film. The award was first given in 2012 for films released in 2011.

Urvasivo Rakshasivo is a 2022 Indian Telugu-language romantic comedy film written and directed by Rakesh Sashii and produced by GA2 Pictures and Shri Tirumala Production. A remake of the 2018 Tamil language film Pyaar Prema Kaadhal, the film stars Allu Sirish, Anu Emmanuel, and Vennela Kishore. The music was composed by Achu Rajamani and Anup Rubens, with cinematography handled by Tanveer Mir and editing by Karthika Srinivas, respectively.
