The National Democratic Alliance is a centre-right to right-wing conservative Indian political alliance led by the right-wing Bharatiya Janata Party (BJP). It was founded in 1998 and currently controls the government of India as well as the government of 17 Indian states and one Union territory.

In addition to the major national parties,other national and regional parties such as Shiromani Akali Dal,Shiv Sena,Samajwadi Party,Rashtriya Janata Dal,Janata Dal Secular,Jharkhand Mukti Morcha,Dravida Munnetra Kazhagam,Kerala Congress,Jammu &Kashmir National Conference,Indian Union Muslim League,AIMIM,and the Nationalist Congress Party are all dominated by families,mostly those of the party founders.

He is the son of Pratapsingh Raoji Rane who is a former Chief Minister of Goa and an incumbent Indian National Congress party MLA in the Goa Legislative Assembly. Vishwajit Rane was the Minister of Health,Agriculture &Craftsmen Training in the Government of Goa led by Digambar Kamat from June 2007 to March 2012. Rane resigned as the MLA of the Valpoi Constituency and also from the Indian National Congress on 16 March 2017.
Pratap Prabhakar Gauns or Pratap Prabhakar Gawas is an Indian politician from the state of Goa. He was elected to the Goa Legislative Assembly election as a member of the Indian National Congress party in 2008. He won against BJP candidate Pramod Sawant by a margin of 1534 votes.
Manuel Gregorio "Manu" Fernandes is an Indian politician and businessman who is a former member of the Goa Legislative Assembly,representing the Cuncolim Assembly constituency from 1984 to 1994 and Velim Assembly constituency from 1994 to 1999.
