Rajiv Jain (born 17 March 1957) was the Director of the Intelligence Bureau of India. He belonged to 1980 batch of the Indian Police Service. [2] He is from the Jharkhand cadre and was appointed on 1 January 2017 as the 26th Director of Intelligence Bureau after the retirement of Dineshwar Sharma and served there till 26 June 2019. Rajiv Jain is the recipient of President’s Police Medal and has served in various departments of the Intelligence Bureau,including the sensitive Kashmir desk. He was the advisor to the previous NDA government’s interlocutor on Kashmir,KC Pant,when talks were held with separatist leaders like Shabbir Shah. [11] [12]

Krishan Chander Verma was the Director of Research and Analysis Wing (R&AW),the external intelligence agency of India,his official designation was Secretary (R). He started his career at the Intelligence Bureau,was appointed as head of the Narcotics Control Bureau in 2005,and was later elevated to the position of Secretary (Security) and also served as Internal Security Adviser to Home Minister. He was laterally transferred to head R&AW after Ashok Chaturvedi retired from the post on 31 January 2009. One of the major challenges for K. C. Verma had been professionalise and streamline the agency,which has been in news in recent times for various scandals and controversies.
K Vijay Kumar,IPS,is a retired IPS officer. He was the chief of the Special Task Force of Tamil Nadu that was involved in the death of the Veerappan during Operation Cocoon of 2004. He had also been the senior advisor to Home Ministry for the Left Wing Extremism areas. He served as the Advisor to the Governor of Jammu and Kashmir with Home,Forest,Ecology &Environment,Health &Medical Education,Youth Services &Sports,Hospitality &Protocol,Civil Aviation,Estates and Information portfolios. Currently he has joined back as senior security adviser in Ministry of Home Affairs in December 2018.

Jharkhand Police is headed by Director General of Police and headquartered in Ranchi,Jharkhand. Jharkhand police have 4 levels of Joining. Vikram Sood is the former head of India's foreign intelligence agency,the Research and Analysis Wing (R&AW),and an advisor to the Observer Research Foundation,an independent public policy think tank in New Delhi. Sood was an officer of the Indian Postal Service (IPoS) before he joined the intelligence organisation R&AW and later served as its spymaster from 2000 to 2003. He retired as a career intelligence officer with 31 years of service on 31 March 2003.

K. Sankaran Nair,known as Colonel Menon among his colleagues,was an Indian civil servant,diplomat and the director of Research and Analysis Wing. He served as the Indian High Commissioner to Singapore from 1986 to 1988 and was the last surviving member of the Indian Imperial Police. He was reported to have played a crucial role in the formation of Bangladesh,through R&AW operations during the Bangladesh Liberation War.
Anil Dhasmana is former Chief of National Technical Research Organisation (NTRO). He was also the Chief of the Research and Analysis Wing (R&AW),India's foreign intelligence service. He was appointed as the Chief of R&AW as the post fell vacant on 31 January 2017 following the retirement of the incumbent.
Rajiv Gauba is an Indian civil servant who is currently serving as the Cabinet Secretary of India since from 30 August 2019. His term is the longest in history. He is an Indian Administrative Service (IAS) officer belonging to the 1982 batch of Jharkhand cadre. Prior to his appointment as Cabinet Secretary,he was Home Secretary of India. He served Uttar Pradesh Police since 1972 until becoming the Director of Intelligence Bureau. He also served as the Director of the Intelligence Bureau from January 2009 to December 2010.
Samant Kumar Goel is a retired Indian civil servant,intelligence officer,who served as the Secretary of Research and Analysis Wing. He was appointed as secretary on 26 June 2019,succeeding Anil Dhasmana.
Arvind Kumar is a retired 1984 (37RR) batch Assam-Meghalaya cadre Indian Police Service (IPS) officer,and is a former Director of the Intelligence Bureau. the senior-most ranked IPS officer. After retirement,he was appointed as a Vigilance Commissioner of the Central Vigilance Commission (CVC) on 3 August 2022 and served there till 30 September 2024.
The Directorate General of Security is an organisation of covert operations under India's Cabinet Secretariat. It is one of the four legally defined intelligence organisations of India and listed in the Schedule of the Intelligence Organisations Act,1985,the other three being I.B.,R&AW and NTRO. Since 1971,the Secretary,Research and Analysis Wing has usually held the post of Director General. This organisation used to be composed of Special Service Bureau,Aviation Research Centre,Special Frontier Force and Chief Inspectorate of Armaments. Since the shifting of SSB and CIOA to the Ministry of Home Affairs in 2001,DGS consists of ARC and SFF only. The Special Group,a non-Tibetan and Sarsawa-based unit of SFF,is also a DGS component.

Deka is an Indian Police Service (IPS) officer of the 1988 (41RR),Deka was empanelled as Director general of police level in 2021. Deka's tenure as the Director of the Intelligence Bureau started from 1 July as his predecessor Arvind Kumar's tenure ended on 30 June 2022.
