Rajiv Jain (born 17 March 1957) was the Director of the Intelligence Bureau of India. He belonged to 1980 batch of the Indian Police Service. Rajiv Jain is the recipient of President’s Police Medal and has served in various departments of the Intelligence Bureau,including the sensitive Kashmir desk. Rameshwar Nath Kao was an Indian spymaster and the first chief of India's external intelligence agency,the Research and Analysis Wing (R&AW) from its founding in 1968 to 1977. Kao was one of India's foremost intelligence officers,and helped build R&AW. He held the position of Secretary (Research) in the Cabinet Secretariat of the Government of India,which has been held by all R&AW directors since. He had also,during the course of his long career,served as the personal security chief to Prime Minister Nehru and as security adviser to Prime Minister Rajiv Gandhi. He also founded the Aviation Research Centre (ARC) and the Joint Intelligence Committee. An intensely private man,Kao was rarely seen in public post-retirement.
The Aviation Research Centre (ARC) is India's imagery intelligence organisation,a part of the Directorate General of Security,run by the Research and Analysis Wing (R&AW). It started functioning in November 1962,in the wake of the Sino-Indian War,as an extension of the Intelligence Bureau,but placed under the Ministry of External Affairs.

Krishan Chander Verma was the Director of Research and Analysis Wing (R&AW),the external intelligence agency of India,his official designation was Secretary (R). Jharkhand Police is headed by Director General of Police and headquartered in Ranchi,Jharkhand. Jharkhand police have 4 levels of Joining. The Top positions are filled by Indian Police Service Officers recruited by the Union Public Service Commission. The Next Level of Recruitment is at Class II Level via D.S.P Rank recruited by the Jharkhand Public Service Commission. Vikram Sood is the former head of India's foreign intelligence agency,the Research and Analysis Wing (R&AW),and an advisor to the Observer Research Foundation,an independent public policy think tank in New Delhi. Sood was an officer of the Indian Postal Service (IPoS) before he joined the intelligence organisation R&AW and later served as its spymaster from 2000 to 2003. He retired as a career intelligence officer with 31 years of service on 31 March 2003.

He also served as an interlocutor to the government of India for the state of Jammu and Kashmir. He served as the 34th Administrator of Lakshadweep from 2019 until his death.
K. Sankaran Nair,known as Colonel Menon among his colleagues,was an Indian civil servant,diplomat and the director of Research and Analysis Wing. He served as the Indian High Commissioner to Singapore from 1986 to 1988 and was the last surviving member of the Indian Imperial Police. He was reported to have played a crucial role in the formation of Bangladesh,through R&AW operations during the Bangladesh Liberation War.
Anil Dhasmana is the Current Chief of National Technical Research Organisation (NTRO). He was also the Chief of the Research and Analysis Wing (R&AW),India's foreign intelligence service. He was appointed as the Chief of R&AW as the post fell vacant on 31 January 2017 following the retirement of the incumbent.
Rajiv Mathur is a 1972 batch IPS officer of Uttar Pradesh Cadre. He is a former Chief Information Commissioner of India. He served Uttar Pradesh Police since 1972 until becoming the Director of Intelligence Bureau. He also served as the Director of the Intelligence Bureau from January 2009 to December 2010.
Subodh Kumar Jaiswal is an Indian police officer who is currently serving as the director of Central Bureau of Investigation (CBI). He is a 1985 batch Indian Police Service (IPS) officer and former Director General of Police,Maharashtra. He was previously the police commissioner of Mumbai,the largest city in India and the seventh most populous city in the world. Jaiswal was with the Research and Analysis Wing (R&AW),India's external intelligence agency for nine years,during which he served as the additional secretary of R&AW for three years. Jaiswal has also served in Intelligence Bureau and Maharashtra ATS Chief. He was the head of the Central Industrial Security Force. Jaiswal's career began in 1985 as a trainee officer in Aurangabad,where he was subsequently assigned the full posting as the Assistant Commissioner of Police.
Samant Kumar Goel is an Indian civil servant working as an intelligence officer and is of the IPS cadre. He is the current Chief of the Research and Analysis Wing,India's foreign intelligence agency. He was appointed as the Chief of R&AW on 26 June 2019 replacing Anil Dhasmana. In June 2022,his tenure as Secretary,R&AW was extended upto 30th June,2023.
Arvind Kumar,a 1984 (37RR) batch Assam-Meghalaya cadre IPS officer,is the former Director of the Intelligence Bureau. The Director of the Intelligence Bureau is the senior-most ranked IPS officer.
The Directorate General of Security is an organisation of covert operations under India's Cabinet Secretariat. It is one of the four legally defined intelligence organisations of India and listed in the Schedule of the Intelligence Organisations Act,1985,the other three being I.B.,R&AW and NTRO. Since 1971,the Secretary,Research and Analysis Wing has usually held the post of Director General. This organisation used to be composed of Special Service Bureau,Aviation Research Centre,Special Frontier Force and Chief Inspectorate of Armaments. Since the shifting of SSB and CIOA to the Ministry of Home Affairs in 2001,DGS consists of ARC and SFF only. The Special Group,a non-Tibetan and Sarsawa-based unit of SFF,is also a DGS component.
Tapan Kumar Deka commonly known as Tapan Deka is the 28th Director of Intelligence Bureau of India. Deka is an Indian Police Service (IPS) officer of the 1988 (41RR),Deka was empanelled as Director general of police level in 2021. Deka's tenure as the Director of Intelligence Bureau started from 1 July as his predecessor Arvind Kumar's tenure ended on June 30,2022.
