Based on Pudhumaipithan's novel Vakkum Vakkum, it stars Sivaji Ganesan, Gemini Ganesan, Savitri, Padmini, Devika and K. R. Vijaya. The film was released on 3 September 1966 and became a commercial success.

The film is a remake of Balaji Tharaneetharan's 2012 film Naduvula Konjam Pakkatha Kaanom. It stars Sree, Supraja, Rahul, Satish and Mast Ali in vital roles. Gunwanth Sen scored the Music. The film released on 9 August 2013 and did decent business at the box office in spite of mixed reviews from the critics.
Bagavathi Perumal, popularly known as Bucks, is an Indian actor, who has worked in Tamil films. Perumal debuted in Balaji Tharaneetharan's critically acclaimed Naduvula Konjam Pakkatha Kaanom (2012). Bagavathi has since appeared in pivotal roles in films including Oru Kanniyum Moonu Kalavaanikalum (2014), Naalu Policeum Nalla Irundha Oorum (2015), Pichaikkaran (2016) and Super Deluxe (2019).

Petta (transl. Hood) is a 2019 Indian Tamil-language action drama film directed by Karthik Subbaraj and produced by Kalanithi Maran under the banner Sun Pictures. The film stars an ensemble cast featuring Rajinikanth, Vijay Sethupathi, Nawazuddin Siddiqui, M. Sasikumar, Simran, Trisha, Megha Akash, Malavika Mohanan, Mahendran, Bobby Simha, Guru Somasundaram, Aadukalam Naren, Munishkanth and Sananth. The music was composed by Anirudh Ravichander with editing done by Vivek Harshan and cinematography by Tirru. In the film, a hostel warden crosses paths with gangsters which leads to interesting turns.
Mathapoo is a 2013 Indian Tamil-language romantic drama film directed by Nagaraj and starring newcomer Jayan and Gayathrie.
Tughlaq Durbar is a 2021 Indian Tamil-language political satire film written and directed by Delhi Prasad Deenadayalan, on his directional debut, with screenplay and dialogues written by Balaji Tharaneetharan. The film stars Vijay Sethupathi, Raashii Khanna, R. Parthiban, Manjima Mohan, Karunakaran, Bagavathi Perumal and Rajkumar. The music of the film is composed by Govind Vasantha, with Manoj Paramahamsa and Mahendiran Jayaraju handling the cinematography and R. Govindaraj edited the film.
