Rajmohan Arumugam also popularly known as Put Chutney Rajmohan is an Indian Tamil actor, standup comedian, director, television anchor, radio jockey, social media influencer, content creator, orator, motivational speaker and writer. He is well known for his contents focusing on social awareness and for his fluency in Tamil-language during his motivational speeches. [1]

Career

He took part in television reality program Tamil Pechu Engal Moochu aired in Star Vijay, and he shot to fame where he gained breakthrough by being adjudged as the title winner in its second season during the 2008–09 season. [2] [3] His participation in Tamil Pechu Engal Moochu is where his prowess and his profound Tamil oratory skills were elevated on full swing. [4] He has also participated as a speaker in typical pattimandram debate programmes which are often telecast in satellite television channels coinciding with the theme of popular religious festivals.

He worked as a channel director of YouTube channel Put Chutney and he later founded its sister YouTube channel Tamil Vanakkam. He was recognised as the face of the Put Chutney YouTube channel for his abilities to demonstrate political satire comedy sequences in the videos while also pitching content by providing thought provoking ideas on the realism of political landscape in Tamil Nadu. [5] One of his notable video contents which he uploaded in Put Chutney tackled the subject matter pertaining to the political blame game between the two southern Indian states Tamil Nadu and Karnataka which was on the peak surrounding around the 2018 Tamil Nadu protests for Kaveri water sharing. [4] In 2018, Telugu actor, Vijay Devarakonda collaborated with Rajmohan for a quirky sneakpeak promotional video ahead of the former's theatrical release of political action drama film NOTA which was unveiled in the Put Chutney YouTube channel. He also had stint as a judge and as a mentor in standup comedy oriented show Comicstaan Semma Comedy Pa which was a Tamil version of the original version of Hindi-language comedy show Comicstaan . [2] During the onset of the peak COVID-19 pandemic, he switched his focused on activism by launching a YouTube channel specially dedicated towards the college students whose studies were impacted by the global pandemic. [2] He began the YouTube channel with the aim of conveying the prevalence of the most pressing social issues and documenting them in a simple and in a convenient style by adapting the routine conversation style. Film career

He made his film acting debut in Dhanush starrer Velaiilla Pattadhari 2 (2017). He had a prominent role in Hiphop Tamizha's sports drama film Natpe Thunai , where he featured as a close friend of Harish Uthaman as the latter portrayed the role of a field hockey team coach. Rajmohan's acting in Natpe Thunai was deemed a decent performance where he channeled the mannerism of a corrupt sports director who even went to the extent of cheating his own friend, eventually backstabbing him for the sake of earning commission by doing tasks to please the parties with vested interests. He also featured as an actor in supporting roles in Nenjamundu Nermaiyundu Odu Raja (2019), Marina Puratchi (2019) and Naan Sirithal (2020). [7]

He made his directorial debut with the film Baba Black Sheep (2023), which was opened to mixed to negative reviews criticising the outdated storyline and illogical scenarios about the school life where the screenplay was criticised for lacking the emotional depth in fulfilling the weight of expectations despite an ambitious efforts to showcase the struggles of schoolboys and schoolgirls. Velaiilla Pattadhari 2 is a 2017 Indian Tamil action comedy film directed by Soundarya Rajinikanth. It is a sequel to the 2014 film Velaiilla Pattadhari and has Dhanush, Amala Paul, Vivek, Hrishikesh, Saranya Ponvannan, and Samuthirakani reprising their roles, while Kajol plays an antagonistic role, marking her return to Tamil cinema after 20 years, with her last film being Minsara Kanavu (1997). Ritu Varma was recast as Anita, earlier played by Surbhi, which marks her debut in Tamil cinema. Some of Dhanush's scenes were partially reshot in Telugu. Its music was composed by Sean Roldan.

Produced by Sundar C and Khushbu under the banner Avni Movies, the film stars Hiphop Tamizha, Harish Uthaman, newcomer Anagha and Karu Pazhaniappan alongside actors Sha Ra, Pandiarajan and Kausalya. It is based on the sport of field hockey. In 2021, it was remade in Telugu as A1 Express.

Nenjamundu Nermaiyundu Odu Raja is a 2019 Indian Tamil-language comedy drama film written and directed by Karthik Venugopalan in his directorial debut. The film stars Rio Raj in his lead acting debut, Shirin Kanchwala, and RJ Vigneshkanth in the supportive roles, while Nanjil Sampath, Vivek Prasanna, Radha Ravi, and Mayilsamy play supportive roles. The film is produced by actor Sivakarthikeyan under his production banner Sivakarthikeyan Productions. Singaporean composer Shabir was roped into score music for the film.

Naan Sirithal is a 2020 Indian Tamil-language comedy film written and directed by Raana in his directorial debut. Following the success of Meesaya Murukku and Natpe Thunai, Sundar C co-produced Adhi's third film and it became a hat-trick hit. Hiphop Tamizha and Iswarya Menon and K. S. Ravikumar is playing a villain role, while Badava Gopi and Eruma Saani Vijay are playing supporting roles. It is a feature film version of Raana's own short film Keka Beka Keka Beka. The film released on 14 February 2020 to mixed reviews.

Marina Puratchi is a 2019 Indian Tamil language drama film based on the jallikattu protests. The film stars Naveen Kumar and Shruti Reddy and is directed by MS Raj, a former associate to director Pandiraj who also produced the film under his banner Pasanga productions. Al Rufian composed the music for the film while cinematography was handled by R. Velraj. The film has been honoured by the Norway Tamil Film Festival and Federation of Tamil Sangams of North America (FETNA).

Poovaiyar is an Indian gaana singer and actor who works in Tamil-language films. He is known for being a part of Season 6 of Star Vijay's Super Singer Junior and co-singing "Verithanam" from Bigil (2019).

Aravind Parameswaran, popularly known by his stage name Chutti Aravind, is an Indian actor, mimicry artist and comedian who is currently working in the Tamil film industry, he debuted in the Tamil film Chennai Kadhal in 2006. In 2022, he participated in the popular cooking show Cooku with Comali as a contestant in Star Vijay.

Tamil Pechu Engal Moochu is an Indian Tamil-language reality competition. The show based on speaking Tamil letters, words, and sentences. The channel started taking auditions for this season through online audition registration. Then the offline auditions started on ended 2022 and placed in Chennai, Madurai, Salem, Coimbatore, Trichy and Tirunelveli.

Bijili Ramesh was an Indian Tamil actor, comedian and YouTuber who predominantly featured in comedy roles. He was known for his supporting role in sports drama film Natpe Thunai (2019).

Parithabangal Gopi–Sudhakar is an Indian stand-up comedy YouTubers and actors duo consisting of Gopi Aravind Raja and Sudhakar Jayaraman. The duo predominantly appear in satirical videos of their official YouTube handle Parithabangal.
