Rakowice [rakɔˈvit͡sɛ] (German : Rakowitz)^[1] is a village in the administrative district of Gmina Lubawa, within Iława County, Warmian-Masurian Voivodeship, in northern Poland.^[2] It lies approximately 7 kilometres (4 mi) south-west of Fijewo (the gmina seat), 17 km (11 mi) south-east of Iława, and 65 km (40 mi) south-west of the regional capital Olsztyn.

There are also strong similarities in vocabulary with Danish, Norwegian and Swedish, although those belong to the North Germanic group. German is the second most widely spoken Germanic language, after English.

Gmina Lubawa is a rural gmina in Iława County, Warmian-Masurian Voivodeship, in northern Poland. It takes its name from the town of Lubawa, although the town is not part of the territory of the gmina. The administrative seat of the gmina is the village of Fijewo, which lies close to Lubawa.
