It became a blockbuster upon release. The film won two Filmfare Awards South and Tamil Nadu State Film Awards, both ceremonies conferring Best Film and Best Actor (Sarathkumar). Janda Pai Kapiraju is a 2015 Indian Telugu-language political action drama film. Janda Pai Kapiraju was written and directed by Samuthirakani, and features Nani in dual roles and Amala Paul in lead roles. The film's soundtrack and score were composed by G. V. Prakash Kumar. A second version was concurrently made in the Tamil language, titled Nimirndhu Nil, with Jayam Ravi in the main role. While the Tamil version with Jayam Ravi released in 2014, the Telugu version was released on March 21, 2015. Nani played a double role for the first time in his career. Despite already having a Tamil version, the Telugu version was dubbed and released in Tamil as Velan Ettuthikkum in 2018.
Un Samayal Arayil in Tamil, Oggarane in Kannada (transl. Tempering) and Ulavacharu Biryani in Telugu, is a 2014 Indian romantic comedy film directed by Prakash Raj. A remake of Aashiq Abu's 2011 Malayalam film Salt N' Pepper, the film is simultaneously shot in three languages. It starts Prakash Raj alongside Sneha, Urvashi, Tejus and Samyukta Hornad. The film features the original score and soundtrack by Ilaiyaraja. The regular shoot commenced from 26 September at Mysore.
Gowri is a 1963 Indian Kannada-language film, directed by S. K. A. Chari and produced by K. Narayan Rao. The film stars Sowkar Janaki, Rajkumar and Sandhya. The film has musical score by G. K. Venkatesh. This was the first Kannada movie to adapt already written Kannada poems into movie songs. The movie was remade from the 1952 Telugu movie Daasi with few modifications in the plotline.

Gattimela is a 2019 Indian Kannada-language television soap opera that aired on Zee Kannada. The series is directed by Koramangala Anil. It premiered on 11 March 2019. The show is an official remake of Telugu TV series Varudhini Parinayam. The series stars Rakshith Gowda and Nisha Ravikrishnan. It was the most-watched daily soap on Kannada television in 2020. The show is also dubbed into Malayalam as Parinayam from 8 January 2024.
Nisha Ravikrishnan, also known as Nisha Milana, is an actress in the Kannada television. She began her career in television during her school days. She hosted diverse programs on Chintu Television. Her debut as an actress came with the serial Sarvamangala Mangalye. After working for a few months in Sarvamangala Mangalye, she got an opportunity to play a lead role in the serial Gattimela on Zee Kannada.
Palasa 1978 is a 2020 Indian Telugu-language period action thriller film written and directed by Karuna Kumar in his directorial debut. The film stars Rakshith, Nakshatra, and Raghu Kunche who also composed the music. Prawin Yendamuri and Thiruveer play a supporting roles. The film is set in 1970s in Palasa, a town in Srikakulam district of Andhra Pradesh and revolves around the incidents related to caste discrimination and untouchability. The film was listed in the Film Companion's "Top 7 Telugu films of 2020" chart.
Rakshit Atluri, commonly known as Rakshith, is an Indian actor who works in the Telugu film industry. Atluri made his debut with London Babulu (2017) for which he received the best debut actor award at 16th Santosham Film Awards. In 2020, he starred in the action thriller film Palasa 1978 as Mohan Rao.
Sam Vishal J.X. is a singer and an independent vocalist. In 2019, he became the 2nd runner up of Super Singer 7 reality show. As the 2nd runner up of his season, he won a chance to sing songs for music director Anirudh Ravichander – 'Chitti Story' and 'Putta Story' for the film Master. Apart from film music, Sam Vishal is also a regular in independent music and is also seen releasing music independently. He has won the 'Sensational Singer at Digital' award at Blacksheep Digital Awards 2022.
