Ralph Hardimon is a percussionist, teacher, composer, and clinician. He is best known for his work in the areas of marching percussion, rudimental drumming, drum & bugle corps, and marching band.
Hardimon's performance experience started in the late sixties with the Los Angeles Police Band, and later the Velvet Knights and Anaheim Kingsmen drum & bugle corps. He taught and studied with Fred Sanford and studied with Charles Dowd at the University of Oregon.
Following Fred Sanford's departure after the 1980 season, Hardimon became Director of Percussion for the Santa Clara Vanguard from 1981 through 1990. During this time, SCV won four High Percussion awards (1978, 1979, 1988, 1989) and three DCI World Championships. Hardimon served as a consultant for SCV from 1997 to 2000. He has scored music for many other corps (including Blue Knights from 1990 to 2001) as well as college percussion ensembles and marching bands. He has worked for Disney and bowl games such as the Citrus Bowl, Orange Bowl, and Super Bowl.
Hardimon received Grammy nominations for Jazz and Rhythm and Blues. He was inducted into the DCI hall of fame in 2000, [2] inducted into the Santa Clara Vanguard Hall of Fame in 2014, [3] and received the “Life Time Achievement Award” from Sabian Cymbals in 2005. [4] [5]
Ralph Hardimon is also a member of Mu Phi Sigma national percussion fraternity, and an Honorary Member of Snare Si Phi percussion organization.

A modern drum and bugle corps is a musical marching unit consisting of brass instruments, percussion instruments, electronic instruments, and color guard. Typically operating as independent non-profit organizations, corps perform in competitions, parades, festivals, and other civic functions. Jay Bocook is a professional composer and arranger, and also the Director of Athletic Bands at Furman University in Greenville, South Carolina. He was born in Clearwater, Florida in 1953 and received a Bachelor of Music degree from Furman University in 1975, and went on to receive a Master of Music degree from University of Louisiana at Monroe,. He is an alumnus of Phi Mu Alpha Sinfonia, the national men's music fraternity. Bocook became a Sinfonian at Furman University, joining the Gamma Eta chapter of Phi Mu Alpha Sinfonia in 1972. He was also inducted into the Theta Lambda chapter of Sigma Alpha Iota as a National Arts Associate in 2006.

The Santa Clara Vanguard Cadets Drum Corps, known as SCVC or simply as the Vanguard Cadets, is an Open Class competitive junior drum corps. He is best known for his intensive marching snare drum solo compositions and record-setting performances, entitled "Tornado" and "Stamina", and for his percussion quartet composition entitled "Four Horsemen". Markovich's contributions to the style, notation, composition, and performance of percussion have endured over the last five decades.

Percussive Arts Society (PAS) is a non-profit organization for professional percussionists and drummers, as well as drum and percussion educators. It was founded in 1961 in the United States and has over 5,000 members in 40 American chapters, with another 28 chapters abroad. It is headquartered in Indianapolis. PAS hosts a large convention annually for percussive artists, students, and educators called the Percussive Arts Society International Convention or PASIC. The convention has been running yearly since 1976. PAS also holds an annual indoor marching festival which includes Drum Corps International participants. PAS developed an influential list of drum rudiments called the PAS 40 International Snare Drum Rudiments, which are considered to be the current standard reference on the subject.
Myron Stewart Rosander was a performing member, visual instructor, and visual designer for the Santa Clara Vanguard Drum and Bugle Corps and later a visual designer for the Phantom Regiment Drum and Bugle Corps. He was inducted posthumously into the Drum Corps International hall of fame in 2016.
