In May 2024, MTNU registered her 20 millionth customer in the country.

Sylvia Wairimu Mulinge, is a Kenyan businesswoman and corporate executive. She took up this appointment on 1 March 2020.

Mang, is a Nigerian lawyer and corporate executive, who served as the chief executive officer and managing director of United Bank for Africa Uganda Limited from December 2020 until October 2024. Prior to then, she was the managing director and CEO of United Bank for Africa's subsidiary in Gabon.

Before that, she was the chief financial officer at Sasol and the chief executive officer at Cyril Ramaphosa's Johnnic Holdings.
Wim Vanhelleputte is a Belgian engineer, businessman and corporate executive, who is the chief executive officer and managing director of Safaricom Telecommunications Ethiopia Plc. He was appointed in June 2023. He took up his current position on 4 September 2023.
