The Indianapolis Olympians were a founding National Basketball Association (NBA) team based in Indianapolis, Indiana. They were founded in 1949 and folded in 1953. Their home arena was Butler Fieldhouse on the campus of Butler University--now known as Hinkle Fieldhouse.

Harrison Smith Glancy was an American competition swimmer who represented the United States at the 1924 Summer Olympics in Paris, France and the 1928 Summer Olympics in Amsterdam, the Netherlands. In 1924, he won a gold medal as a member of the winning U.S. team in the men's 4×200-meter freestyle relay, together with teammates Ralph Breyer, Wally O'Connor and Johnny Weissmuller. Glancy and his American teammates set new world records in both the semifinals (9:59.4) and final (9:53.4).

John Anthony Pescatore is an American rower. He competed in the 1988 Seoul Olympic Games for the United States as stroke of the men's coxed eight which placed third. He later competed at the 1992 Barcelona Olympic Games in the men's coxless pair. Then in 2000 he was placed top coach in America for coaching the coxless pair to silver at the 2000 Sydney Olympic Games. Pescatore was also in the 1987 eight that won the world championships in Copenhagen, Denmark.

Ralph Hutton is a former competition swimmer who represented Canada in three consecutive Olympic Games in 1964, 1968 and 1972. Hutton won a silver medal in the 400-metre freestyle at the 1968 Summer Olympics in Mexico City. Hutton won a total of 24 medals in international competitions, including the Summer Olympics, Commonwealth Games and Pan American Games. He was inducted in the International Swimming Hall of Fame as an "Honor Swimmer" in 1984.
