Aval Peyar Thamizharasi is a 2010 Indian Tamil-language drama film written and directed by Meera Kathiravan. The film stars Jai, Manochitra, Dhiyana, S. Theodore Baskaran and Ganja Karuppu in lead roles. The music was composed by Vijay Antony with cinematography by P. G. Muthiah and editing by Raja Mohammad. The film was released on 5 March 2010 and failed commercially.
Sujatha was an Indian actress who performed and starred in a variety of unique characters in Tamil, Malayalam and Telugu films- in addition to few in Kannada and Hindi languages as well. The actress was best known for restraint and subtlety in portrayal of varied emotions. After starring in numerous Malayalam films in her mother-tongue, Sujatha later got introduced to the Tamil film industry by veteran director K. Balachander and producer P.R. Govindarajan as a protagonist in her first Tamil film, Aval Oru Thodar Kathai (1974). It was a critically acclaimed film and launched the actress's first commecrical breakthrough in her acting career. Whereas, her first Telugu picture happened to be a Telugu/Tamil bilingual titled as Guppedu Manasu (1979) in Telugu and was simultaneously shot as Nool Veli in Tamil of the same year. She died of a cardiac arrest on 6 April 2011 in Chennai.
En Uyir Thozhan is a 1990 Indian Tamil-language political drama film directed by Bharathiraja. The film was released on 16 February 1990, and failed at the box-office; however it garnered a cult following.
Mohamallika Pillai, better known as Mallika Sukumaran is an Indian actress and businesswoman, known for her works in Malayalam cinema. She debuted in 1974 with the Malayalam film Utharayanam by G. In 2012, she hosted Jackpot, a game show on Jaya TV which was earlier hosted by Khushbu and Nadhiya. She acted in Agni Paravai, a serial telecast in Puthuyugam TV. She played as a main judge on the reality show Dance Tamizha Dance, which was produced by her and her husband Mr Deepak Bagga for Zee Tamizh.
Sundar K. Vijayan is an Indian film and television series director, who has directed Tamil language content. The son of director K. Vijayan, Sundar began his career in films in the late 1980s, before prioritising television commitments in the 2000s.
Kaatrukkena Veli is a 2021 Indian-Tamil language drama starring Priyanka Kumar with Swaminathan Anantharaman and Darshan K. Raju. It is an official remake of Star Jalsha serial Mohor. It premiered on 18 January 2021, and aired on Star Vijay and is also available on the digital platform Disney+ Hotstar before its telecast. The series final episode was aired 30 September 2023 and ended with 809 episodes.
