Professor Ranjan Ramasamy is a Sri Lankan born Australian academic and scientist. He was formerly a Professor of Immunology and Biochemistry, and the Chairman of the National Science Foundation of Sri Lanka. [1]

Educated at the Royal College, Colombo, Sri Lanka and at The Perse School, Cambridge, England, he went on to gain a BA in Natural Sciences (1971) and a PhD (1974) from University of Cambridge, Cambridge, England.

He was a Professor of Computer Science and former Dean of the Faculty of Science, University of Colombo. Prof Samaranayake played a major role in the development of IT and IT related education in Sri Lanka. He was at the time of his death the chairman of the Information and Communication Technology Agency (ICTA) of Sri Lanka and was the founding and former director of the University of Colombo School of Computing (UCSC).

Having served as the Director of Cyber Innovation Hub he recently retired from the Canterbury Christ Church University in the United Kingdom where he researched into security and forensic investigation of Internet of Things (IoT). Currently he is engaged in promoting IoT in digital agriculture as a disruptive technology, primarily in developing countries, leading to smart agriculture resulting in higher yields in food production. Induruwa is considered the father of Internet in Sri Lanka.

Pahalawattage Don Premasiri is a Sri Lankan Buddhist scholar specializing in the areas of Buddhist ethics and Buddhist philosophy. Premasiri's academic training represents a synthesis of both the Buddhist and Western philosophical traditions, first at the University of Peradeniya and subsequently at Cambridge and Hawaii.
