RapScallions is an American rock band formed in Hollywood, California in 2011 by Chris Clemence. The band is made up of bassist Chris Clemence, guitarist Dario Forzato, drummer James Forsberg, and vocalist Sergio Ochoa. [1]
In 2011 RapScallions released their first self-titled EP. The first single off the EP, "California Brain" helped the band gain mainstream recognition via the Ubisoft video game, Rocksmith , on Xbox and PlayStation 3 [2] and earned the band their first platinum video game award. "California Brain" charted at #70 on the iTunes charts in Europe. [3] California Brain was #10 in the Top 25 Songs about California in 2011 among Rihanna, Britney Spears, and Death Cab For Cutie. [4]
In 2013, RapScallions released their second album, "In My Head". The single, "Got Your Love Comin", was in rotation on 65 Clear Channel radio stations nationwide by way of iHeart Radio and was selected as iHeart Radio’s "Music You Should Know.” [5] [6]
In 2014, RapScallions released "Can You Feel It" as the first single to their upcoming record. "Can You Feel It" was produced by Wendy Starland. The song quickly gained recognition in the sports world and was licensed to FOX Sports for the NHL and NBA as well as by teams such as, the Los Angeles Kings, New York Rangers, Colorado Avalanche, St. Louis Blues, Denver Broncos, Kansas City Chiefs, New York Giants, Indiana Pacers, Minnesota Twins and San Diego Padres for their in-game entertainment at their stadiums. "Can You Feel It", also received international radio play airing on radio stations such as, Q103.3 KTMQ, 94.5 KYMT, on KIIS FM Brazil during the 2014 World Cup and was the kickoff song for the NFL International game in London. "Can You Feel It" also aired during Super Bowl XLIX [7] and the 2015 Stanley Cup Playoffs. [8]
RapScallions made their American television debut with a live performance of "Can You Feel It" on FOX Sports San Diego for the San Diego Padres opening day of their MLB season and have since performed the song on CBS for the Mercedes-Benz Music Minute during David Letterman. [9] "Can You Feel It" was also licensed by Harley-Davidson for a radio ad campaign airing on stations in California, Denver, Kansas City, and Boston. [1]
RapScallions are featured performing "Can You Feel It" in the Spring 2015 Carl's Jr. commercial that aired on CBS and KCAL. [10]
On March 11, 2015 the mobile video game SongArc was released on iOS and Android. RapScallions are the featured artist of the game with their songs, "Can You Feel It", "Got Your Love Comin'" and "California Brain". [11] [12]
The band has shared the stage with Chad Smith of Red Hot Chili Peppers, Chris Cornell, Scorpions, The Red Jumpsuit Apparatus, Warrant, Fishbone, English Beat, and Mike Posner among others, playing in venues including the Staples Center, Mandalay Bay Events Center and the Detroit Speedway of Michigan. RapScallions third studio record, produced by Matt Wallace and Wendy Starland, and mixed by Chris Lord-Alge will be released in 2015. [1]
On May 1, 2015, RapScallions performed before 100,000 fans at the Chang Jiang International Music Festival in China on the main stage. [13] [14]
Fuel is an American rock band from Harrisburg, Pennsylvania, formed by founding members guitarist-songwriter Carl Bell, vocalist Brett Scallions, drummer Jody Abbott, keyboardist Erik Avakian, and bassist Jeff Abercrombie in 1993 in Harrisburg, Pennsylvania. After several independent releases, the band signed with 550 Music and Epic Records to release their debut studio album Sunburn (1998), which was supported by their first hit single, "Shimmer". The song peaked at number 42 on the Billboard Hot 100, while their 2000 single, '"Hemorrhage " peaked at number 30. The latter, along with the moderate hit "Bad Day" spawned from the band's second album, Something Like Human (2000). Their 2003 single, "Falls on Me", led their third album, Natural Selection (2003), which was met with moderate success and followed by several lineup and personnel changes.
Brett Allen Scallions is an American singer and musician. He is best known for being one of the founding members and the original lead vocalist and rhythm guitarist for the alternative rock band Fuel from 1993 to 2006 and then from 2010 to 2020. He formed Fuel with Jeff Abercrombie, Jody Abbott, and Carl Bell. During that time, the band released four major-label albums including the double platinum Something Like Human. His initial stint with the band ended in February 2006. Scallions has been ranked in the Top 100 Heavy Metal Vocalists by Hit Parader (#50).
"Outshined" is a song by American rock band Soundgarden. Written by the band's frontman Chris Cornell, the song was released as the second single from their third studio album, Badmotorfinger (1991). It became the band's first single to reach the U.S. Mainstream Rock charts, where it peaked at number 45. It was included on Soundgarden's 1997 greatest hits album, A-Sides, the 2010 compilation album, Telephantasm and the live album Live on I-5.
"Smoke Two Joints" is a song originally written by The Toyes, who performed it in traditional Reggae style and released it in 1983. According to The Toyes, "one fine fall day on a small island" of Oahu in Hawaii, two of the band members, Mawg and Sky, were sitting under a large banyan tree on Kuhio Beach, "tokin' on some sweet bud & jammin' on a rootsy reggae funky town" when they conceived the song "Smoke Two Joints."
"No Excuses" is the lead single from American rock band Alice in Chains' third EP, Jar of Flies (1994). Written by guitarist and co-lead vocalist Jerry Cantrell, the song was well received by music critics and was a charting success, becoming the first Alice in Chains song to reach No. 1 on Billboard's Mainstream Rock Tracks chart, spending a total of 26 weeks on the chart. It has gone on to become one of the band's most popular songs. The song was included on the compilation albums Nothing Safe: Best of the Box (1999), Music Bank (1999), Greatest Hits (2001), and The Essential Alice in Chains (2006). Alice In Chains performed an acoustic version of "No Excuses" for its appearance on MTV Unplugged in 1996, which marked the last time they performed the song with Layne Staley, and that version was included on the band's Unplugged live album and home video release.

"The Adventure" is a song recorded by American rock band Angels & Airwaves. It was released on May 18, 2006, through Geffen Records, as the lead single from their debut studio album, We Don't Need to Whisper (2006). The song received increased attention when it aired on a Smallville trailer. After the season finale of Smallville aired, "The Adventure" climbed to #30 on Amazon. The track was also played in the crowd warm-up session before Barack Obama's presidential election rallies in 2008.
"How I Could Just Kill a Man" is the debut single by hip hop group Cypress Hill from their eponymous debut album, Cypress Hill, and was their first major hit in 1991. It was released as a double A-side to "The Phuncky Feel One". The song was also in the movie Juice (1992). It was re-released in 1999 with Spanish lyrics and a new video. It is featured as the first track on their greatest hits compilation Greatest Hits from the Bong. It was voted number 79 in About.com's Top 100 Rap Songs.
Just Dance is a 2009 music rhythm game developed by Ubisoft Paris and published by Ubisoft for the Wii. It is the first main installment of the Just Dance series. Expanding upon a concept introduced in a minigame for Rayman Raving Rabbids: TV Party, players mimic the motions of an on-screen dancer's choreography for a selected song, using the Wii Remote to judge the player's motions and accuracy.

Rocksmith is a music video game produced by Ubisoft, released in October 2011 for the Xbox 360 and PlayStation 3 platforms in North America. Rocksmith was released on PlayStation 3 and Xbox 360 during September 2012 in Australian and European markets and October 2012 in Japan. A Windows version was released on October 16, 2012, after several delays. The game's main feature is that, unlike other rhythm games such as Guitar Hero that require proprietary controllers to play, Rocksmith instead allows players to plug in virtually any electric guitar and play along via a USB adapter.
"R U Mine?" is a song by the English indie rock band Arctic Monkeys. It features lyrics written by frontman Alex Turner, as well as music composed by the entire band. The song was released as a digital download in the United Kingdom on 27 February 2012 and was released physically for the Record Store Day on 21 April 2012 on a limited edition double A-side purple 7" vinyl along with new song "Electricity". The vinyl was limited to a run of only 1,750 copies.

Rocksmith 2014 is a music video game produced by Ubisoft. It is a followup to the 2011 game Rocksmith, but has been described as a replacement to the original game rather than a sequel. Like its predecessor, the game allows players to plug in virtually any electric guitar or bass guitar and play along via the use of a USB adapter – removing the need for any proprietary controller like other music games such as Guitar Hero. The game comes with 66 songs on disk, with over a thousand more available to download as paid DLC. It was announced at Ubisoft's 2013 E3 presentation and was released for PlayStation 3, Xbox 360 and PC/Mac in October 2013, with versions for PlayStation 4 and Xbox One releasing in November 2014.

It consists of lead vocalist and guitarist Jökull Júlíusson, drummer Davíð Antonsson, bassist Daniel Kristjánsson, lead guitarist Rubin Pollock and harmonicist Þorleifur Gaukur Davíðsson. Clemence is currently the owner of Montauk Tattoo located in Montauk, New York as well as his stylized shoe brand Tattshoos.
Rocksmith+ is a subscription-based music education service from Ubisoft focused on learning guitar, bass, and piano. It was released September 6, 2022 on PC and June 9, 2023 on Android and iOS and follows Rocksmith 2014. It was updated on December 5, 2023 to include piano and keyboard learning. The PlayStation 4 and PlayStation 5 were released on June 6, 2024.
