Raphael Cerrato is an American college baseball coach and former player. Cerrato is the head coach of the Rhode Island Rams baseball team.

Coaching career

Cerrate returned to the University of Rhode Island as a volunteer assistant in 1997. From 1998 to 2000, Cerrato was an assistant at the UMass Minutemen baseball program. Following his stint at UMass, Cerrato became the top assistant for the Brown Bears baseball team. In 2006, he became the top assistant for the University of New Haven, only to be promoted to head coach the next year. [1] Cerrato lead the Chargers to a 131–97 record in 5 seasons as the head coach.

In 2012, he returned to Rhode Island to become an assistant for Jim Foster.

On July 17, 2014, Cerrato was named the interim head coach for the Rhode Island baseball team. [2] After guiding the Rams to a 26–25–1 in 2015, Cerrato signed a 4-year contract to be the permanent head coach on July 23, 2015. [3]

Mark John Whipple is an American football coach, who most recently served as offensive coordinator at Nebraska in 2022. Whipple was the head football coach at University of New Haven from 1988 to 1993, Brown University from 1994 to 1997, and stints as the University of Massachusetts Amherst (UMass), from 1998 to 2003 and 2014 to 2018. His 1998 UMass team won the NCAA Division I-AA Football Championship. He was the quarterbacks coach for the Cleveland Browns of the National Football League (NFL) in 2011 and 2012. Before joining the Browns in January 2011, Whipple worked for two seasons as the offensive coordinator at the University of Miami. He previously coached in the NFL, working as a quarterback coach with the Pittsburgh Steelers from 2004 to 2006 and as an offensive assistant coach with the Philadelphia Eagles in 2007 and 2008. On January 14, 2014, Whipple returned to UMass as head coach.

Derek William Kellogg is an American college basketball coach who currently serves as an assistant coach for Creighton. Kellogg previously served as head coach of the Massachusetts Minutemen, his alma mater, being named to the position on April 23, 2008, replacing Travis Ford, who left to take the head coaching job at Oklahoma State University. He was removed from the position on March 9, 2017. After being let go by the Minutemen, he was named head coach of the LIU Brooklyn Blackbirds, which represented the school's Brooklyn campus. He was named the first head coach of the current LIU team upon its formation in July 2019 when LIU merged the Brooklyn athletic program with that of its Post campus, creating a new program that now competes as the LIU Sharks, and served in that role until he was fired and replaced by Rod Strickland on June 30, 2022. After his firing from LIU, Kellogg returned to his alma mater UMass as an assistant coach for one season before leaving for Creighton in 2023.

Nicholas Barese is an American baseball coach and former pitcher, who is the current head baseball coach of the UMass Lowell River Hawks. Barese played college baseball at Saint Anselm College from 2005 to 2009 for coaches J. P. Pyne and Barry Rosen and in Saint Anselm College for two seasons from 2009 to 2010. He then served as the head coach of the Merrimack (2015–2021).

Liam Coen is an American football coach who is the offensive coordinator for the Tampa Bay Buccaneers of the National Football League (NFL). He previously served as the offensive coordinator at the University of Kentucky in the 2021 and 2023 seasons, as well as in 2022 for the Los Angeles Rams.
